After my trip to Paris, my husband (Ron) surprised me again with a gift. His current assignment involves a shop where they sell clothes by Dutch designers. And he spotted these yellow ochre trousers which, in his opinion, were super. Wouldn’t I look great in them?
I disputed that I already had similar yellow trousers. He replied they were nothing like it. Then I argued that it was nonsense to add another pair of yellow trousers to the vast pile of clothes that I already own. I actually heard myself say: “Do I really need these trousers?” Furthermore I could only think of the green jacket, to combine with the new trousers. Nothing else.
“Not to worry”, Ron said, “we will go to the department store and check out whether they have another top.”
My reply:
“Isn’t that a bit strange? To try and find something to match a piece of clothing you are already in doubt over because it seems superfluous?” Ron chuckled he had never hear me use this argument before.
Now stop…..! You will have to agree that the casting in such conversation is rather unusual. Most of the times it is the other way around.
I was still in doubt and felt a bit strange but decided that if your husband loves to see you in it, it is worth keeping.
Boy, was he right…. I don’t know what you think of it, but a lot of people in The Netherlands like it. A lot.
With another warm Thank You to “my man” for styling me. (Such a pity his assignment ends before the start of the Autumn collection hahaha.)
We never found another top to match these trousers, but I am sure I will find something in my closet. Don’t you agree?

In these photos my fringe was way too short. Makes me look like an idiot. Still, I am a brunette and I like it better than being a blonde. It is just that when you get older and you colour your hair brown, it often becomes too harsh. And my husband prefers my new blonde. He says it makes me look softer.
As for the dark trainers… forget it. Looks awful.

I like the material of the pants. This model of pants is very in fashion this summer. I got a pair for my birthday, and you have a pair already, the ones you bought in Zwolle. What I wear on it is a wide open blouse and a tighter top beneath. So you have the looseness of the trousers in the blouse and you still look slim because the top is slimfitting. Your purple top from Zwolle is nice and then a blouse over it, which one I don’t know.
I will look into it.
Your pants are nice with your jacket. I remember I had a skirt of a similar colour once, which I put on with purple tones and found they went well together. . . I like your necklace too. My necklace is super light. Weighs nothing.LOL stands for Laughing Out Loud. Used on the internet to indicate your tone of voice. If I say something, you can hear and see me laugh. If I write the words and you cannot hear or see me, you might interpret it wrong. Which is why I put LOL or hahaha whenever needed.

I adore your necklace and how you paired this with an olive green. This is not a combo I would have thought of. I love to wear yellow but always struggle with combos. The fabric is sort of modern eyelet embroidery! He really did well for you … you look quite chic and bright. Great with subtle neutrals … grand to combine with suede shoes! I have a pair of taupe suede heels that I got at the end of winter, and have wanted to wear them. Hmmmm. Lovely on you, all of it. Yes, your fringe may be a little short, but it will grow out, and it does look very contemporary!

Correction… the hairdresser is female haha. And she does listen but we apparently had different definitions of “not too short”.
Your husband is right, the pants are beautiful, and different from the yellow. He knows see how beautiful you are with your looks and works to achieve them. LOL. Seriously, the pants are nice (do not get as well as jeans, but they work) and the outfit is gorgeous. I like the combination of colors.
I don’t mind them being loose. It’s nice for a change with all them skinnies. And yes, they are gorgeous and you look great in them. Other possible combinations as far as colors go (and thinking of your wardrobe): black, purple, white, brown, orange….Time will tell what you come up with;-).

I argued because my wardrobe is getting ridiculously big. Even by my standards.And I cannot alter the trousers without losing its shape completely. It is what it is. And as I have no hips, it shows.
