In between rain showers, Ron took photos of this black linnen dress with booties. I used to wear this Sarah Pacini dress with flat white boots, but that is soooo over. (As if I care, but still, booties are the thing now and I have them.) When I showed my husband the same outfit with pumps he disapproved of it immediately. He is a modern guy.
The dress is smaller at the bottom, allowing me only to walk like a lady. It has folds and creases as a design, not just because it is linnen. The slit at the back is not centered. View Post
This blue dress by Filippa K (a Swedish brand with lovely basics, using great fabrics) is a recent buy from when I went shopping with Daniela (The Pretty Cute) in Amsterdam. Daniela nudges me towards wearing more dresses and she is absolutely right. I love her elegant style and don’t mind shifting back from skinnies to dresses. Daniela found this blue one for me. Please ignore my cone shaped hair. Hair and me… a constant battle.
And by the way…. no, ladies, I am not going to excommunicate skinnies. I will remain who I am: loving colours and loving leggy things. View Post
Last week you saw me in a dress. This week back again in my trusted skinnies. All photos were taken at the MINI dealer in Heemstede (a village nearby). Hence the title Skinny and Mini (OK, I am probably the only one who thinks that is funny). They have not asked me to do a post about them or their cars. And they don’t pay me to promote them either. Nothing of the sort.
I was there because my husband (Ron) is looking for a new car and he happens to like the MINI Clubman. As the new “MINI 5 doors” had just arrived at the dealer, we went to take a look. Trying to combine things I took the camera with me as I needed blog pictures. You can imagine people stood looking surprised when we were taking these. Even though it was his idea to use the cars as background because of the nice colours, Ron felt totally uncomfortable. He is a good sport and very creative but really not at ease photographing when people are watching. I am quite the opposite: couldn’t care less who sees it or comments on it. View Post
This is a picture of friendship, of two people who hardly knew each other two months ago and now are friends. It was taken when I was visiting Dan in Italy. She is a blogger like me (The Pretty Cute) and visited me in July (see here and here). Our time in Amsterdam together was so nice that I booked a flight a week after she left, to see her place. The fact she lives near two big outlet places with dream brands like Missoni, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Max Mara… you name it, added to the fun of course.
