Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (8 van 11) Green trousers??? Green??? I can hear you think. Yes dears, they are green. OK,  they are charcoal grey/green trousers. I seem to have a preference for these in-between-shades. Remember my (totally different) grey green baggy trousers? These trousers change their colour in different light. They are by Marlene Birger (I love that brand) and are pretty ideal. You don’t feel them so you can put them on for dinner. Plus, when you take them out of the washing machine, you only have to hang them up, no ironing.

My darling husband Ron had to go to Amsterdam for business and as it was my day off, I joined him. Ulterior motives here. As Ron offered to shoot photos again and the weather was sort of OK.

Below: before we left Haarlem, Ron shot some of the buildings and canals in my wonderful town. See the two twin houses on the right? They are leaning forward on purpose. This was handy for hoisting things up to the top floor. Plus the rain didn’t drench the front of the building. They were pretty clever in the old days.Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (2 van 11)Below: water and bridges everywhere.SAMSUNG CSC Below: Ron also took a picture of me as I was approaching the car (the parcel I am holding is for a friend). Now do you understand why I hate wind? And why I want my hair to stay the way I have combed it and not blown apart? (Wearing a python coat with leopard shoes… not really my thing.)Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (3 van 11)Below: on arrival in Amsterdam, Ron pointed me to this colourful wall.Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (4 van 11)Below: and then to the canal. As the outfit is the same in every picture, you might find this post rather boring. You also see bicycles everywhere.Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (5 van 11)Below: against a red front door of a huge building. I love how the green trousers stick out when the background is red (complementary colours). See the bells? That is how many people live there. DoorbellsBelow: on top of lock gates over the canal. This collage is meant to show the bag.Tan leather bag 2Below: going down Haarlemmerstraat in Amsterdam. Shivering in my coat. The top photo was taken while I was walking back again, with my coat over my arm (cold!).Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (7 van 11)Below: close-up of wrinkles and necklace. This is one of my “Ina necklaces”. I have 15 different chunky necklaces made by her. See my post about them.Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (9 van 11)Below: close-up of shoes and trousers. Irie Wash jacket, Marlene Birger trousers, Panara shoes (10 van 11)Below: one last picture on the steps of an Amsterdam house.
