Paris necklaceAnd here it is…. The Paris Necklace. With three capitals. The one I told you about in my post about Paris with Susan. The one which caused my credit and debit cards to be (literally) in the freezer. Just as the gloves it came from Alexandra Sojfer, 218, Boulevard Saint Germain. Mind you, I am beginning to see the beauty of this necklace. I have worn it several times now and it really draws positive attention. Much more than any necklace ever has. View Post

Red Kenzo coat with black OTK bootsThis outfit is easy. No great styling effort. Just a black, cream and red outfit with my over the knee boots. The only “styling” bit to this outfit was the thought that I wanted to wear these boots with a light coloured pair of trousers. As I love contrast. This outfit also creates the opportunity to show you my third hat: a pillbox hat. View Post

Black, white and grey flower skirtAnother post of an outfit with a skirt. I must say I never expected to deliver so well. Ron scouted the place two weeks before and showed me the white tables and red chairs, excellent as background for this black, white and grey flower skirt by Max Mara (or a sub brand). It is the terrace of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. The Tuesday after Christmas while walking the dog at the beach (too windy for my taste to join) he called me up and said: “Shall we do that photo shoot today? As it is nice weather.” I was so pleased and got changed immediately. I never expected such an offer as he already did the session with the sequined top the day before.  View Post

Hope sweaterShowing this top was way overdue. I bought it last May when I was at the 3040 Blogger meet in London. It is by Hope Fashion UK, a company which I love for its mission, its sustainability, its quality and the fact they provide nice clothes for women over 40. Read all about Hope here. The founder Nayna is a wonderful woman whom I met in person. She makes “wearable and stylish clothes in quality fabrics and fluid designs created for real body shapes and proportions”. And no, this is not a sponsored post. I bought the sweater and I am not getting paid to praise them. Anyway… I put this lovely sweater on while visiting the Givenchy exhibition in The Hague with my friend Marjolein. View Post

Blue sequined topUsually I don’t buy anything new just for Christmas or New Year. There are no parties we are invited to and my closet is stocked with nice stuff anyway. So why bother? Then I came across this blue sequined top. (I was inspired by Lisa, The Sequinist.) It was a bargain, it suited me well, it was festive but I could still wear it with jeans. Furthermore it had long sleeves and a boat neck to hide any old skin and it was warm. I can never understand why in December women walk around in flimsy dresses with little straps and often with bare legs in peeptoe shoes as well. It is winter for Pete’s sake. I am always COLD! Am I the only one? Or do you not mind suffering as long as you look good? Don’t get offended when you are the flimsy dress woman, I think it looks great. Blame it on jealousy. View Post
