What to weat at the Côte d'AzurThis week part two of What to wear at the Côte d’Azur. We were there for 6 days but I don’t have pictures of every outfit (to give Ron a rest, right?). Visiting Vence and Saint Paul de Vence I wore a trouser outfit with flat shoes. I am not able to walk on high heels sightseeing all day. And to me flat shoes means trousers. My friend Daniela of The Pretty Cute manages to wear skirts and dresses with flat shoes, looking adorable. My flat feet and low instep make a flat shoe less cute.

May I invite you to some sightseeing?

Below: the light in the south of France is so splendid that even washing hanging out looks like art. This is in Vence.

Below: another fantastic building. The colours are so good.

Vence

Below: love the shutters, love the rich balconies.

Vence

Below: at the square of Vence (or one of the squares) there is a church. Of course there is a church. There always is. Couldn’t resist to stand in the doorway.

Below: time for some outfit details: cardigan: Max Mara outlet Turin, tunic: Eileen Fisher, necklace: Angela Caputi  (you have seen me wear it more often), 7/8 trousers: Marella, bag: Furla (years old). Shoes: Paul Noyen (years old); they were getting pretty dusty in that old town.

I wore this tunic only once before, in this post (you have to scroll down a bit for a full length photo).

Below: close-up of the necklace. That tunic is a pretty good “canvas”.

Below: squint your eyes and you can see a pattern for a lovely dress: cream/stone with babyblue, green and fuchsia.

Vence

Below: checking how to walk. Vence is a historic town and not very big. Only we tend to always walk in the wrong direction.

A profile photo of myself like this can still amaze me. How did I get so busty? Me!! The girl who used to pray for boobs. Never got them until I became 34 and suddenly they grew and grew. Totally ignoring my cries “Enough! I said enough!”

What to weat at the Côte d'Azur

Below: lovey little streets.

I bet the people who live there are sick and tired of all those tourists walking through their streets with their cameras.

Below: did I mention views?

Below: after Vence we visited neighbouring Saint Paul de Vence. Talking about tourists… Busload after busload. Although it is a lovely town, it is so touristy, it is no fun anymore. I am only going to show you this horse, made from horseshoes.

Saint Paul de Vence

Below: back at our hotel we had drinks and dinner with the two previous owners of this hotel, Ermert and Magda Wissink. They are such lovely people. Two friends of them joined us later that evening and it was like old times (see my previous post for explanation). You will see more of my outfit next week. Magda wore a darling tunic/jacket/blouse by Chacok. Right up my alley.
