One holiday day with lots of friendsAs it happened I spent one holiday day with lots of friends, the last day. First there was lunch with Anja (blog Curly Traveller) and Misja (blog MisjaB). (You have seen both on my blog a lot of times.)

In the evening I went out to dinner with 3 friends: Marianne, Claudia and Jiske. Two other members of this group of friends were on holiday. All of these women are used to having their photograph taken, so that was all right. View Post

My holiday dayToday again two holiday days with friends. Thursday with Aafke in Amersfoort and Tuesday with Eefje in Haarlem. Both were colleagues of mine. In 1985 Eefje joined the advertising agency where I worked at the time and Aafke came working with the advertising department at the bank in 2009. All three of us have a really Dutch first name. My holiday day with HelgaLast week I took some time off work and spent every day with another one of my friends. I am fortunate to have many friends which means that 5 days were far too little to cover all of them. On Wednesday I started my holiday day with Helga. And on Thursday I met Marja for lunch (more about Marja later in this post.)

Photo above: having lunch with Helga at Native (again). Can you believe we were both dressed in blue and white? View Post

Shopping Sunday in AmsterdamWe, the Shopping Saturday girlfriends, hadn’t seen each other for quite a while. Holidays and work got in way, so we decided to change our outing to Shopping Sunday in Amsterdam. In the Nine Streets to be precise. Still one of the loviest areas of Amsterdam. I already wrote two posts on this area in 2013, here and here. And also one in 2016. Some shops have disappeared over the years, others are there to stay and new shops join.

We didn’t have much time and in the Nine Streets the shops are open on a Sunday from 12 o’clock. So we gathered for coffee at 11. View Post
