Purple velvet jacketThis outfit with the purple velvet jacket was put together by me and myself. Shopping your closet is always a good idea, but never really my favourite pastime. I know, I know, many of you are frowning now. Not very sustainable. But look at if from another point of view. All the clothes and shoes I buy support many families. Honest, hard working people manufacturing beautiful clothes, hoping to sell them (to me). Then, when I no longer want these clothes, I give them to friends. Someone has got to start the sustainable chain of second hand clothes. Let it be me. Only not for a couple of months. I will return to help the economy thrive in May (??), perhaps even sooner. Black IRO bootsOh I paid deerly for this shoot. In lots of ways. One, because these black IRO boots are too high for a person with a bad knee. Even for 15 minutes, which is how long the photo shoot lasted. Two, because it was very, very cold. And three, because I had sworn not to buy anything anymore and failed miserably. View Post

This coral wrap doesn’t look that bad, right? Still, it is a styling failure as far as I am concerned. I tried to make this lovely piece of Irish lambswool suit my style. But whatever I tried, it didn’t feel like me. Only when I was snuggled up on the couch, it felt right, like a little blanket. Which it is of course. It was a thrift score again. And again at Kat & Ko, the thrift shop where I got my green dress and orange bag. I fell for the colour and the quality (John Hanly & Co. Ltd. since 1893.. never heard of but it sounds bloody good). Oh and the low price: € 40. View Post
