Red sweater, cute belt, black trousers

This red sweater plus belt was a find in a lovely shop in Amsterdam, called Young Designers United. As you can read on their website they are a shop where the collections of young and upcoming fashion designers are sold for affordable prizes. You get unique pieces at a really nice price.

Of course, like all fashion designers, they aim at the young and lovely. And I might convince myself I am the latter, but I certainly am not young. Still, I have found at least 5 pieces there which I wear regularly without thinking I am dressed too young. One of the pieces is a necklace and you cannot go wrong there haha.

The trousers are by La Dress  La Dress . Funny.. dress, trousers. They sell mainly dresses all over the world and they are very good. These trousers are called “Paris” (€ 76). Unfortunately they are not on their website anymore.

Let the photos do the rest of the talking.

The belt can be fastened at any width as it closes with press-studs all the way round. Drawback is that it is always skew.

I bought this bracelet in Milan, two years ago and do not wear it much. Usually there is already so much going on as in necklace or print or design that the bracelet becomes too much. With this sweater I think it is just right.

Till tomorrow.

  1. I love this outfit Greetje. The colour is stunning on you and the belt is lovely too.

    1. Oh you are quick in replying. Thank you. Yes red is certainly my colour. And this sweater is really comfortable. A bit cold at the back.Which reminds me… I will edit this post and say something about the trousers too, as they are also very comfortable and you can order them worldwide. You never know, I might be doing somebody a favour.

  2. I really like the outfit. It is youthful and elegant. Not understand “young and charming”, but I’m glad that you are “lovely”, I think you can pretty much dress, your figure allows it. The sweater is beautiful and you look great pants. The belt does not really like me, question of taste, right? The bracelet if I like, very nice. A nice proposal to you see yourself superb.

    1. Thank you Josep-Maria. You are always so kind. I am glad that you are critical as well. If you don’t like the belt, it is good to say so.

It certainly does. I am having a non blog week-end because my grandson has his birthday. I am having withdraw symptoms

    1. Hahaha, catch up Monday. And congratulations. Hope you have a lovely time.

  4. Amazing look, love it all!!xoxo

    1. Thanks Seeker. Your visit is much appreciated.

  5. This is a more casual look for you and I really like it. The belt and bracelet are perfect together. I adore wide belts even though I do not have enough height to wear them well. You always look so long and lean. Like a model. :)USA SuzannePS – I hope I can visit you one day and we will have so much fun shopping together!

    1. Hahaha! Flat shoes! And I will wear heels. 🙂

    2. Yes we would. I hope so too. Even if your son does not accept that offer in Europe, you can still come over. I look long and lean because I weigh 63 kilos (I think 9 stone 92)and I am 1 meter 75 (5 ft 74). Also my arms and legs are thin looking, not really the Divine Proportion. Together with no hips or bum I look long and lean. Sorry petite.

    3. If you come over I will wear flat shoes.

  6. I agree with Aileen, that sweater really becomes you! I love the colour and the design. I can imagine it would look good with skinny pants or leggings with knee-high boots as well:)

    1. If these trousers would be any skinnier, they would become leggings.I have one pair (7/8 length actually) which are really skinny but still trousers. And I have over-the-knee boots (suede and flat) and up-to-the- knee boots (leather, high heel, a bit more rough style). I will try both.

  9. Love everything about this outfit. Very nice!

    1. Thanks Sylvia. If I were a hair-splitter (and I am, really) I could find a flaw. I would have liked the back to be a bit higher. I seem to have lots of tops with this neckline. Logical as it suits me, but a bit higher at the back would make it warmer as well.

Red is a very flattering colour for you. I like the whole outfit. But I am totally surprised to see you with this belt and especially this bracelet. Never thought I would see the day that you would wear modern jewellery. And it’s great. It just all belongs together and makes it in total harmony.

    1. Surprise, surprise…. The belt is a year old. It was a celebration of the waist liposucking hahaha. The bracelet was one of these holiday buys. A lovely shop and I wanted to buy something not too expensive. Because it is not really me (you are right in that) I have not worn it much. But it looks good in this outfit doesn’t it?
