3 coloured high heeled booties and purple jacket

Together with the black patent leather shoes my husband gave me these three-coloured booties. They are sky-high and are very easy to walk on. Surprise, surprise.

I have combined them with a purple (hard to see, but it is really very purple) velvet jacket (from Pauw), jeans, a sweater from H&M and coloured tights.

At the beginning I was quite pleased with myself for coming up with such a daring combination. My husband liked it, a good friend of mine liked it…… still I am not so sure.
It feels a bit like a circus outfit. Which gave my husband the idea for the last two pictures:
the magician (or the ringmaster) works her magic and a pink cat appears from the top hat.

 Below: the magician joke:

Tell me… too much? Or daring?

  1. I love the whole combination!!! Daring enough to stand out and look great with all the colour. And those booties are to die for… lucky you :)Hope you’re having a nice weekend.xoxo

  2. I love the color combination, the boots are fab and the jacket is beautiful, what a fantastic color! I would not wear the necklace and the hat at the same time, though, that’s a little bit too much in my opinion, but otherwise it’s a great outfit:)

    1. No of course not. I am not going to wear that hat at all. Pity but I am not such a dare devil. Glad you like the outfit. I was not so sure. The jacket is even better in reality. It is deep purple velvet and if the light (sun) hits it, it is radiant.

  3. Perfect combination! Yellow and purple I believe are the royal colors and you just did a great job of presenting them. Hope you go show it off somewhere fun, you look amazing! And way to rock those boots.

    1. Thanks Trina, I am getting more certain about it with each positive comment. I will try them tomorrow with a slightly longer pair of jeans.

  4. You look great. Love the booties! Marie S

    1. Thanks a lot Marie. Nice of you to leave a comment.

  5. So great you finally embraced the bootie trend Greetje and these are fabulous. I love the outfit too (funky and colourful) although I understand where your concerns are coming from. I wonder if it would help to make your jeans a bit longer, so you can only see a bit of your yellow socks?

    1. I totally agree Sylvia. Looking at these photos I was thinking the same. Today I am wearing them with boyfriend jeans and no ankles showing and that is good too.

  6. It’s great! The colors all go together and you don’t look ever the top at al. It’s very elegant. Love the shoes! So glad I’m not the only one who likes crazy high fun colored shoes.

    1. I like crazy shoes, but I want good quality and that comes at a price. Which means I usually go for the more basic ones. They do not go out of fashion that quickly. I am thinking now it is probably better to invest in 2 pairs of crazy shoes each season and just wear them to death. Not sure whether I wouldn’t get bored with them.

  7. Your booties are similar to mine, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.Bootie sister.have a lovely weekend.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

    1. Yes, haha. I saw yours on your site with your black and white outfit.

    1. I am a lucky girl. Full stop. LOL

  9. Thank you Fernanda for taking the time in your busy life to visit and leaving a -lovely- comment. I am slowly integrating the booties in my wardrobe combinations. They make everything modern.

  10. I really like the outfit. I love the shoes and jacket, is beautiful. I think it is a very bold proposal, but balanced and successful. I also like your necklace. And, as always, with jeans, you are great. You are very joker every day we do laugh a little.

    1. That is why the subtitle of my blog is Live, learn and….. laugh.I strive to laugh as much as possible. By making other people laugh, I have to laugh too. Really enjoy that. By the way, I can also tell a joke quite well.I have to say, I did not think this outfit would receive much appreciation. Surprise, surprise.

  11. Love, love, love! I was afraid the color between the boots and the jeans hem would cut off the line but your legs actually look a million miles long in this. You look as tall and as slim as a model. I adore the colors (fun!), and the necklace, and the boots are beyond words. These may be my favorites – and you know that is saying a lot. No circus here – just youthful and joyful!I like the pink kitty.:)Is Charlie jealous?USA Suzanne

I really like the whole outfit with the yellow parts showing as well. That makes it special, otherwise you are playing on the safe side again. So for me go for the combo as presented. Love it.

    1. You are a bit of a dare devil, aren’t you?

  13. Loving the pops of yellow of your shirt, and the tights! Also LOVE the boots!xo,Terryhttp://terrys-two-cents.blogspot.com
