Long Acne tunic with lots of scarfs and necklaces

Trying to get my photos a bit more interesting and of better quality, I am moving out of my garden and into the neighbourhood.
This day the weather was bright, sunny… and cold. I looked at my photography notes to see how the camera had to be set when I was wearing something light under these circumstances. It paid off to take notes AND consult them, as bingo… these photos were not half bad.

The tunic is by Acne, a brand from Stockholm in Sweden. I love the boxy look and I can make so many combinations with it. It is like a blanc canvas. The black 7/8 trousers are by Airfield.

Photographing in a street where you are unknown is funny. I can tell you that all the people who were passing, were very curious. You could see them think: “What is this woman doing there?”, “Why?” (a question I frequently asked myself). When I was so frozen my hands could not operate the remote, I packed it in.

    Love this too. I prefer the necklace combinations, favorite being the red necklace that you were with both the black and orange pants. You are a brave lady for going into the streets with your tripod! But it’s definitely worth it. The photos are great!

    Greetje – I love, love, love your tunic and my favorite look is the one with the long, almost tribal necklace – very chic. I might do a more contemporary, edgier shoe – even a low black boot with a little skin showing between pant and boot. Just a thought. Good photos too.

      You are right.. contemporary, edgier shoes is a field I am not good at. I always had a very conservative taste in shoes, even when I was in my teens. Even my mother would say: gee, your taste in shoes is that of an old lady.So usually I buy pumps: easy to combine, don’t attract too much attention and you cannot go wrong. But as I said: another type of shoe would make this look more modern.

    I just love this model of tunic because it is so comfy. You can have a lovely dinner without having to stop breathing because your clothes are so tight, that you look like a muffin. And because the pants are a slim cut it keeps the top and trousers in balance. I like the combo’s with the red scarf and colourfull necklace the most.

    I love your tunic as well, very chic and classy piece. I prefer the combo with the long necklace (the tribal looking one). Although I, too, would love to see this ensemble as a clean, monochrome look, even if you choose chucky gold. I do have to say, you have quite the collection of beautiful scarfs. And I just need to add how much I enjoy you sharing your photo sessions and thoughts with us, you are such a delight, sorry you were freezing (you did a much better job at faking it than I did).

    Your outfit is very good. The tunic is great and I love white. I mostly like the one with orange ( are they orange? ) pants. Your necklace is perfect to complete! By the way,I find it funny when people wonder why you are taking photos in the street! The same happens to me.

      People are so curious, yet they don’t dare to come up to me and ask me about it. That would be sooooo different if I would be in Amsterdam. People there would give me smart remarks the whole time and ask me questions. I miss it so much.

    Fabulous tunic and trousers, Greetje!Both together create a unique look – similar to COS – which does not require anything else.I am honest now (we talked about that before): The scarf kind of kills that clean monochrome look. You know how much I love statement necklaces but don’t think that adding a colour is ideal.       I hear what you say. I agree with you as well. But…… although you are right that the scarf kind of kills that clean monochrome look…. I just don’t want to do without colour near my face. The colour of the tunic washes me out.Could the answer be: a very modern necklace with colour? (Not silver, silver washes me out as well. I am definitely a yellow gold girl.)

    And Trina, I even own a lot more scarfs. Most of the time they hold each other company in my draw as they do not get worn a lot.And I am glad I can entertain you. That is part (a greater part even) of my mission in blogging. Amuse people, make them laugh.I get what you and Annette are saying with a monochrome look. But this neutral colour is just not flattering for me.

    I’m so impressed you actually read the manual for the camera and took notes! When I look at a manual my mind just starts wandering to thoughts of anything else!It’s great to see this tunic – tunics are on my list of versatile clothes that I want to add to my wardrobe. This looks great on you, and it’s so versatile with all the different scarves and pants that you could wear it with. You wear it well, and the photos are good!

    It’s just a matter of taste. I love all the color pops and would find it too serious and classic without them. Silver or gold with this: a no for me. But e.g. A bold black and white resin necklace, yes.I slightly prefer the necklaces here over the scarfs, but that has more to do with the way of wearing, draping and tieing the scarfs. Not too keen on all the ways you chose, Greetje. But although -as you already know- I am not a big fan of this top, I kinda like it, worn on skinnies and with pumps. Well done and a nice post!
