Yellow boyfriend jeans with jacket or sweater

These photos were taken on that one day when a) it was my day off, b) it was a sunny day and c) there was hardly any wind. Ideal for photography.
As you might know, a previous glorious day resulted in the aqcuisition of my pink neon top and B&W pencil skirt. That same day I also bought my striped sweater and the yellow boyfriend jeans which you will see today.

I love the combination of yellow with black (my husband hates it). And I copied the belt from Sylvia, who showed us different mixing and matching on 40+Style.
Took me ages and frustration before I found a good belt. Fortunately my friend Anja helped me with a link to etsy.com. I can completely lose myself in that site. You really have to filter. If you just search for “belt” you get 103.000 items. Bought two animal print belts, one for lower on the hip and one for around my waist. Did not cost me much, 25 dollars each which is even less in euros. My Dutch nature was very pleased.

Now I am still searching for the black and white belt that Sylvia is wearing in the same article of mixing and matching. Cannot find a similar thing. Rats…
And no, I do not mind copying somebody. I work in advertising where we say: better to copy a good thing than to invent a bad one (literally translated).

Those sunglasses are lovely…… they hide a lot of wrinkles.

The top was in my closet together with lots and lots of other colours.

my yellow necklace, which I bought in Rome.

I wish I had bought a green and red one too.

Such an easy piece to brighten up any outfit.

Anyone going to Rome in the forseeable future?

Incorporating the modern style: one side of your sweater tucked in.

I am very pleased with these photos and these outfits.

You should be pleased with the photos you look radiant in yellow and black!The stripped shirt with the yellow pants is such a classic American style; it remind me of the early 2000’s Tommy Hilfiger.

Well, take a look at you in those bright and happy jeans. You look fabulous! I’m quite jealous, knowing I could never pull off wearing yellow jeans. Your first photo is stunning, (are you seriously smiling at no one) it looks as though you are laughing at or with someone. I like both your combinations, the first is a bit more classy and the stirpe shirt combo is just all around fun and could go anywhere. Love how you incorporated the ‘modern’ look in the last photo. Great shopping trip (wish I could have joined you).

I love both outfits on you Greetje! I am a big fan of yellow but I tend to stay away from black & yellow combo- I am always afraid I would look like a giant bumble bee. You did it well here and did not remind of me of a bee at all. I also have a tough time with the famous J Crew 1/2 tuck look. One of my favorite looks on you! LOVE the jeans! I’m looking for a mustard pair but having no luck. I would have also paired it with black. I think you and I have a similar taste in style. Gorgeous photos!!

Hello, Greetje, this is a difficult type of dress pants. Not like it usually, but you know it very well dress, I like how it suits you. I always say that your legs are beautiful to wear jeans, I think for this type too. I love the outfit with black jacket and yellow top. With striped jersey are also nice, but I like the first look. I really like the last photo, with the wrinkle at the waist, is chic. Your necklace and your belt are very nice. A nice post.

  I find it very difficult to create interesting poses, background and smiles. My niece, the photographer, said that your smile is much more sincere when there is an actual person to smile to. And usually I am on my own with the remote.

When I see black/yellow it reminded me of my Herz uniform, at that time I felt like a bumble bee, it was striped too. This combination is much better. I can see that you are so comfortable in your boyfriendjeans. I like both combinations it just depends where you are going too. I can’t see any belts anymore, I have seen hundreds, I looked for a black/white belt to give you for your birthday, which other readers was yesterday. Couldn’t find one, bought an animalprinted one. Then saw the photo of the negenstraatjes, send it back again. Now I saw 2 necklaces like the yellow one. On Zalando lounge, label Celebraty, Oval 70’s 2 combinations, blue, light blue and green, and orange,red and pink. They were 118 Euro’s and now 45 euro. I am not buying them, knowing for sure that when they arrive you have bought them already.
