Yellow summer jacket

This is going to be a quick post. About my yellow lightweight summer jacket.
You have seen it before in my post of my trip to Paris. Such an easy piece. Doesn’t even crease.
I bought the blouse and the jacket at the same shop in Zwolle where I bought my black and white striped jacket.
And in Paris I found the second blouse at Kenzo. Together with a blue jacket but you will see that in a different post.

Usually I buy tops and jackets to wear with skirts and dresses, so I am pleased I found things to wear in my free time. Why not look smart on your day off ehh? Please your husband instead of walking around in jogging trousers and a shirt. Which I don’t but still, I am usually simply dressed. And the poor soul is giving me so many lovely clothes, like this Kenzo top.
Before you start thinking that I am “a kept woman”… I am not: I work full time and pay for my own clothes.
I just have a generous man. A matter of doing some research before you get married.. hahah, no, no don’t take this seriously. I am only joking. Love the man.

The photos are a bit vague. You know my photographing skills…

Below: the Kenzo blouse. See the little (fake) pocket?

Below: a bit too much light on this yellow jacket makes it impossible to really see it. The first photos show it better, but I wanted to show it to you with the Kenzo blouse.

Grey tunic with white trousers

This tunic is simpel but great. If it is hot, you wear it with a sleeveless top and open toe shoes. When it is cold, you wear it with a thicker sweater and normal shoes or even boots. Various possibilities with necklaces to change it around a bit.
The reflections in the window tell you that the garden is getting greener as spring is arriving

To begin with: the tunic with a red and black Japanese-like necklace and black slingbacks

Below: as usual, the back is very uninteresting.

Below: changing shoes to white patent leather peeptoe slingbacks and a necklace made from shells.

Of course… doggie is here too.

Below: with one of my favourite necklaces, faceted white stones, gold(ish) beads and black thread.

Below: zooming in on the necklaces. Could not get a good view of the white one, so I took another photo.

Below: or with ballerinas when walking a lot. This picture was taken in Kopenhagen 2 years ago.

A very observant person might have noticed that I have posted on a Monday instead of a Tuesday. Which is true and will stay this way.

White boyfriend jeans with two jackets: green and black&white

Anja is back in The Netherlands, and I can often twist her arm to take photographs of me. Which makes nicer pictures than me and my remote in the garden. Also…. if you smile at a human being, your smile is much more real than when you smile at a fence (behind the camera). Sometimes my husband pulls funny faces to make me laugh but I can never use those photographs as I look like a (laughing) hyena on them.

This time we went to a pub called The coat of arms of Kennemerland, referring to the district we are in. But everybody calls it: The stinking bucket. No idea why; we couldn’t smell anything.

At the side of the pub there is a lovely terrace with a view over pastures with a small forest at the end.
This day the sun decided to come out. How lucky can you get!! We are now at the end of May and still have not seen more than 3 days of warmth and sunshine in this country. Everybody is moaning.

I hesitated whether I should only use the photos with the green jacket and save the ones with the black&white jacket for another post. However, I have already planned another article with these boyfriend jeans as we shot many different combinations. (You can have too much of a good thing. Or not?)
Besides you already saw the black&white jacket last Tuesday in my Paris article, combined with my boyfriend jeans and brogues.
The jackets and shoes were easily changed without upsetting the other guests on the terrace. Changing trousers or top would have been a different story haha.

Although sunny… also windy.

My green bag, bought in Rome last year. A bit of a different green, but I decided it was OK.

Below and above: my lovey red shopper, also bought in Rome last year.
Both jackets are by Irie Wash, apparently a French make. You just bung it in the washing machine, hang it up to dry and voilà…. ready to wear.

What I wore on my trip to Paris

As you might know, my husband Ron gives me a very nice birthday present each year since 2008. He gives me a generous budget to spend time with Lia, (one of) my (two) best girlfriend(s) on a trip to…. where ever we choose. So far we have been to Paris, London, Milan, Kopenhagen, Rome and this year again to Paris.

I know Lia since we were 16 and we are very harmonious together. Neither of us dominate the other and neither of us get annoyed with the other. Which can happen when you are together 24 hours a day for 3 to 4 days. And we also share the same humour. You can imagine the fun we have.

As the weather forecast was not very good for our days in Paris, I had to pack more than I wanted. An umbrella, a coat and boots that could withstand rain, lots of different shoes for walking, meaning they had to be right for my support soles (we are getting older…). Layers of clothing, socks etc.
Fortunately the weather forecast was too pessimistic. We had half an hour of drizzle the first day and 1 hour the last day. So just 1 1/2 hours in three days.

On our second evening, Ron texted me: “Here is another budget for you and Lia. Go crazy!”
…. We did.

At the Jardin du Luxembourg. Wearing boots as it drizzled.

Ordering a crèpe (pancake). Wearing my leather coat which is excellent for spring weather.
I left my handbag in the hotel as this Camper bag is super light and can hold more things.

Below: sewing on a button on Lia’s coat in the hotel. It had come off and I don’t mind sewing. She does. What are friend for…..
This is what I was wearing when we came on the train. Similar in this post but in Paris with a sweater.

Below: The Louvre

Below: look what Lia’s camera did with the above photo!! Amazing isn’t it?

Below: in the garden of The Louvre: Les Tuileries. Wearing my new brogues. Which of course, made my feet hurt after 8 hours walking.

Below: having one of our many coffee breaks.

Below: the striped jacket was on tour as well. This time with an orange top.

Below: Lia and I, again on a terrace, waiting for the pina colada and the mojito.

It was great fun and I bought too much stuff, amongst others a top and jacket by Kenzo.
You will be hearing more of this in another post.

A little white dress

(I am off to Paris until Sunday, so I cannot publish your comments. As soon as I am back I will attend to it.)

At there was a challenge called: wearing a dress over trousers. Although I submitted 2 photos for this challenge, it is not really my thing. The new challenge is going to be: Wearing White.
White on white or white with a fierce bright. (Everybody can send in 2 (or more) photos for the challenge. Deadline is May 25. Details are in this article.)

Now I find white as easy as black and remembered I had a Little White Dress in my wardrobe which I hardly wore. The brand is SportMax and bought in Milan two years ago. Time to see whether I had learned something from my fellow bloggers (should be about time….).

I threw the dress on the bed and added all sort of tops, belts, scarfs and cardigans. And tried one after another, after another, after another. I tell you… blogging and fashion can be hard work LOL.

The hard work was rewarded. I had the same, marvellous result as with my brown sheer skirt (herehere and here). Remember I had nothing to wear with that skirt and ended up with so many fabulous combinations? Well… this white dress offers the same opportunities and I will show you only a two of them in this post (so I have some photos left for another post… saves me another photo shoot haha). I did not even try jewellery.

Above and below: I was so proud of myself for adding a yellow belt with green and white.
Before my blogging days I would never have thought of this.

Below: this is cheating a bit. I would NEVER wear this dress without my arms covered.
The photos are fortunately bad enough so you don’t see how old and wrinkled they are.

The dog is very keen on having her photograph taken.

Below: with black peeptoes

Photographic skills are still not up to scratch. Sorry.
