More combinations with a little white dress

In my first post of this little white dress, I showed you the dress 1) sleeveless and 2) with a green cardigan.
Because I will not wear sleeveless tops or dresses anymore, you will only find cardigans and a jacket with the dress in this article.

I find it a neglect in us, human beings, that we are not as happy with some things as we are sad for not having them. Does that make sense to you? Let me explain.
I never, ever, was happy with my smooth skin when I was younger. Having it, was just a fact of life.
NOT having a smooth skin anymore does bother me. Not so much that it makes me unhappy but I am very aware of it. Fortunately I am not alone, everybody gets wrinkles. So let’s smile and make the most of what we do have.

If I knew more about photographing, you would see more of the design of the dress. Now it is just one big white blotch. For your information: it is cotton.

Above and below: thanks to blogging I came up with yellow shoes instead of white ones.

Below: I like this cardigan to be loose on this dress. You have seen it tight on my flower skirt.

Above: black slingbacks. Below: red suede shoes.

Below: with a coral cardigan. The black necklace is the same as above but made shorter.

So many more tops and jackets can be worn with this dress. Why did I never try this before?

Funny how many people like the last look, since it is the only one that I like less. The cardigan is tied up too high for my taste. But for the rest…wonderful!

The plaid jacket looks so good with the crisp white dress and those wonderful bright yellow shoes, Greetje. White is so classy, the red looks good too- I like the red sweater and red shoe pairing but best of all the plaid jacket! I dare say it would match everything!

Greetje, I absolutely love you LWD and you have done an amazing job of showing how versatile this can be. I agree with most everyone, that first combination with the checked cardigan is fabulous and very striking, and way to go with the yellow shoes.   This job on the LWD is my pride. I am not a good stylist and get a lot of help from others. But this one I have done all alone. The LWD and the combinations I made with my brown sheer skirt are my “achievements”. Getting better.

In my opinion that is one of your best picks! The white dress is classy and it goes very well with both the jacket and the cardigan.I have a similar dress in my closet… you have noticed something so truth about happiness and human being. As far as I’m concerned I have only recently learnt to look at myself with a friendly eye! ( now that I am almost 50! )

Greetje, my stylish and wise friend; you are so right about some of the things that sometimes we take for granted and them as we aged we realized how good we had it. I’m with you on smiling my wrinkles away and on enjoying every part of my body even those that I’m not completely pleased with. All those combinations look good, and your shoes are so graceful and sexy!I wonder, since you’re so accepting of your wrinkles, why you won’t wear sleeveless clothes anymore. I don’t like my old lady arms, but I love the feel of the air on my skin, so I just accept that my skin is getting old and lumpy and wrinkly. Everyone else will just have to put up with the way it looks – I want to be comfortable. Of course, it’s everyone’s own choice.

Greete, all the outfits I like, but the first is wonderful, this jacket multicolor frame is wonderful and you is precious, forming a great outfit with LWD. Yellow shoes are also a great success, are the chic look. I really like the necklace in the last photo. By the way, your wrinkles are beautiful.
