White dress with purple dots

 Last Thursday you saw my yellow sandals with a flap. Today you see them without the flap. I think the flap is too much in combination with this  dress. 

After I bought the dress I found out that the purple dots were hand printed…. which means: dry clean only. Bummer …. The brand name of the dress is S. Sung which means: Samantha Sung, made in Bali.

I bought it a couple of years ago when I was shopping with a male friend. After visiting numerous men shops I was a bit bored and wandered to the womens section. And saw this dress. Could not resist it.
The funny thing is, that two weeks later I was (motor)boating with my husband along the canals of Amsterdam and we passed a shop. I saw a lovely dress in the window and asked my husband to reverse. Only to discover it was the same white/purple dress in an auxiliary branche of the shop. That was a good confirmation of my choice. I fell for it twice.  … “Sail on, darling”. …. (which is a bit of a silly expression when you have a motor boat, but that is what the dictionary told me).

Anja took the photos and suggested to wear the yellow sandals. I always wore this dress with white pumps. Boring aye?

    I love this dress, it is so feminine, how about your small yellow belt. Very beautifull sandals I like them this way too. And I love your handbag, you know I go for shopper sizes and this one is my cup of tea.

      As for the fit of the dress….hmmm, I could do with some more spare for my girls. Alas, they don’t make dresses like that. And the choice of shoes is by my friend, neighbour and stylist Anja. She comes up with the more daring creations. I am not that good at it. But I am darned good at listening to good advice.

    I love this dress with the yellow sandals – not a color choice I would have thought of. I always struggle with what goes with purple, I always end up with neutral color pairings.

    BTW – love your story how you fell in love twice with this dress! Only shows you’ve got a great eye for pretty clothes.

    I like your beautiful dress which has a timeless style. Your sandals are great with and without flap,and yes, with your printed dress are probably better with no flap.
    I usually don’t match my bag with shoes because I find it makes a more modern look.
    And finally. . . I would enjoy so much seeing the canals!

    I would fall for this dress numerous times, it’s worth every dry cleaning penny. The eye-popping color of the dots is splendid and the cut is perfect. Great dress to wear to work, luncheons, dinner parties, you name it. Love it paired with those awesome shoes, good choice. (Yes, white would be boring). I would even wear it with leather (cognac) sandals and throw on a cute leather belt, just to change it up sometimes. By the way, beautiful photos.

    Greetje, that beautiful dress. You know I love dresses simple, elegant and soft. This is wonderful, I love polka dots. The combination of white and purple is fantastic, and the design of the dress is cute. I like sandals without cover, are nicer. The more vintage and elegant Greetje fascinates me.
