Shopping in Amsterdam the Nine Streets area – part 1

Amsterdam II 091For our second trip of shopping in Amsterdam we go to the “Negen Straatjes”: the Nine Streets. An area of old buildings, quaint little shops, lots of little lunch places and (for the time being) hardly any big stores. This is the best fun shopping area in Amsterdam. Which consist, as you probably already have guessed, of 9 little streets. Sometimes when I go there with a friend we can only cover 2 streets as we go from door to door. View Post

Animal print jacket

On the fourth day of my shopping tour through Amsterdam, my friend of that last day, called to say she would be late. As my feet were hurting anyway, we did not go to Amsterdam. In the afternoon we went for a coffee in Haarlem. Just before closing time we strolled past a shop called A guy named Sue which sold this jacket (to me…). Another day with a failed resolution (not to buy anything).
The jacket is very light, you don’t even feel you are wearing anything. It has a camouflage lining, but I hate camouflage print (sorry camouflage lovers).  View Post

Orange brogues with boyfriend jeans

On my exploring tours through Amsterdam, I had to see the inside of shops too. Which is a bit too much temptation for me. In a shop called Dominio (click the British flag for English) they sold handmade Italian leather shoes and these brogues were half price. They are soooo soft.
If you want them too… they are still online. Full price now, but who knows, if you send them an email, they might do you a deal. They come in blue, brown and orange. I can vouch for their quality. View Post

Shopping in Amsterdam Dam square area

Amsterdam I 1
The first route through Amsterdam started at the Dam square in a department store called The Bijenkorf which means beehive. As you all know what department stores look like, not many picture of that. 😉

Pink T-shirt and a wide, silk skirt

This post is for Dan, my Italian blogger friend. She and I both love bags and especially the ones of Furla.
I picked up this cream beauty in the airport of Geneva (present from my husband…again).
My best friend Pat lives there and thanks to Easyjet (and careful planning) a visit to Geneva can cost as much (or as little, whichever way you look at it) as a train ticket to the south of The Netherlands.  View Post
