Teal booties, skinnies and the Angela Caputi necklace

Teal Unisa shoes and Angela Caputi necklace 1In December my stepdaughter and I went shopping together at The Bijenkorf, a large department store in Amsterdam. A sensible choice as we both carried gift cards for this store, courtesy of Ron (my husband and Nicky’s father). As I have a lot of black clothes, especially this year, some pop of colour and some interest, like with these teal booties, seemed very welcome. Also, in the weekend, I like to wear low heels as I walk a lot. They are very comfortable and so different from what you normally see. Which always attracts me. View Post

Shopping in Amsterdam, the Jordaan area

Amsterdam III 001This fourth part of my shopping in Amsterdam tour, took us to the Jordaan. A famous area in this city with small and old houses.  The neighbourhood was formed in 1600. The people who lived there were always renowned for their humor, their poverty and for looking after each other. Humor is the reason why I like Amsterdam so much anyway.  View Post

Sense Corbata… / no tie…. a black jacket and pencil skirt for Josep-Maria

Black jacket with black and white pencil skirt 5Our blogger friend Josep-Maria from Catalunya has ended his blog Sense Corbata…/ No tie…. where he featured many of us in his weekly round-up of stylish women. Which is why many of us pay tribute to him with a special post, dressed in black.https://www.nofearoffashion.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gif View Post

A black hat and burgundy coated skinnies

Burgundy skinnies black jacket and a faux fur hat 1Wearing a hat is a new thing for me. Never wore one before, until I got inspired by Judith, the Style Crone.
I have shown you her blog once before. She is a fantastic stylist and Hat Master. Every month lots of bloggers put a picture of themselves on her blog, wearing a hat. Of course this black hat is not a very daring one. Taking baby steps here. I did order another one, slightly more daring (don’t get excited, only slightly more daring). Will I ever wear them? I don’t know. I hope so, even though they make a mess of my hair. View Post
