Another post with photographs by my husband Ron at his “allotment”. This blue jacket is by Karen Millen, the trousers by Spijkers SIS Spijkers and the shoes: Michael by Michael Kors. You have seen the trousers before. Last summer I combined them with a white tuxedo jacket and with a black jacket. I was not happy with the black jacket …. just a tiny bit too short (how picky can you get eh?). Blue and black are a hot trend (for a while now, but I am a late adopter) and this jacket is slightly longer at the back…exactly what I was looking for, so BUY. The silver shoes will probably get worn out in one season as they take every outfit to a higher level. Now… you have seen my husband’s styling abilities in the black & cream transparent top and in the Rijksmuseum post. Look what he came up with this time….. Below:…”Dear… why don’t you pose further back in the garden”… (where high heels are murder… See how the heels sink through the tree bark into the ground?) 
Below: …”You should stand on a plank.. that way you have support for your heels…. Just cover the plank with tree bark…”
Below: ….”Let’s move on. Oh.. forgot your flat shoes? Here… take my clogs. That will make a nice picture too…
Below: …”Now hold this piece of wood and pretend it is a tray and you serve tea…”
Below: “… Listen Ron… I want a close shot of the shoes as well…”… “OK, put one foot on that blue chair…”
Below: …”Now sit on this chair but turn it around…” See my face? I don’t trust that chair.. it is dirty and chipped. It might harm my clothes.
Below: the chair wasn’t that bad after all. I felt totally “Cabaret”.. remember that movie?) …”
Below: I drew the line when he put that chair in one of the plant beds and ordered me to stand on that wobbly thing.. Not in high heels, no way. See what a difference, flat shoes or high heels?.
Below: earlier this year I wore the jacket with black skinnies and closed silver shoes when Sylvia of 40+Style visited me. (Shorter, darker hair, puffy face..)

What a funny post! I missed your blog very much ( as you know my tab was at the assistence point and I haven’t been able to surf recently ) and now I know why!
You pants have a very cute stamp and they go well with the blue jacket. Your silver shoes are wonderful!
About confort and flats, I have had a quite odd experience recently…I bought a pair of flat sandals for long walks ( summer sales started!) but I surprisingly descovered that I found it more confortable walking on high heels!! Does that mean I will buy an extra pair??

If you find it more comfortable to walk on high heels, it can mean two things: a) the flat shoes you bought give you too little support on the arch or everywhere, ergo… you bought the wrong flats. Or b) your feet have grown completely wrong only allowing you to walk on high heels. I don’t think b) happens a lot, so I think it is a). You bought shoes with too little support.
And yes that means you can buy another pair LOLAnd I don’t think you missed any posts from me, I only post once a week.
Today my husband tried to photograph me by the sea…. which failed miserably… far too much wind for somebody with troublesome hair like me.-
I can see you are a real expert on the matter! 🙂 After reading your reply I bought a slab of silicone and glued it on the back part of my sandals which makes my walking more confortable and my calves don’t hurt me anymore! Thanks for your supportive reply!!

I think you found yourself a personal photographer. Most of the stars have one, so you certainly deserve one. And he has some great artistic ideas, he thinks out of the box. I like this combination much more than with the black trousers. And like you say the shoes make every outfit to a special one.

I like both combinations equally. But, I have no objection to different opinions. Quite the contrary. Spice of life. I hope Ron continues to be my photographer.

Ha ha! These photos really made me smile. Your man should be a stage director. He is directing the shoot all over the place. The shot of you standing on the chair in the garden is hilarious. Totally makes sense. ; P Just me…dressed up…standing on a chair in my garden…waving! Ha!
I do love the blazer. The pants go from looking super chic and sexy to a bit like PJs. Depending on the shot.

My heart is going pitter-patter over those spectacular silver sling-backs! I love silver, especially mirrored silver. The pairing with the quirky printed pant makes the conservative pieces look fun and approachable. Great post!

I look forward to seeing what Ron does next! He is a creative brain after all. Isn’t he? The pictures are fabulous. I love how Ron was able to get them so sharp! They also tell a story which is what a good fashion editorial does. Love your outfit too Greetje. I will be in town shortly so hopefully we can do a few fashion editorials too. Or maybe Ron can create a story about both of us.. Now there is an idea….

Ah.. Well you see, it is a cooperation. He thinks up crazy poses and I create the story afterwards, choosing the photos which are suitable. Both in quality as in “fitting for the story”. He does not shoot the photos with the story in mind. LOL
And thank you for persuading me to buy Lightroom… I still have a lot to learn, but it is already very useful for improving the images. I leave my wrinkles as they are haha.

Love the cobalt blue and black combination, but lets just talk about how awesome those pants are. What a great pair for the season, you really could do a lot with those. Glad to see you’re loving the silver heels as much as I do.-
The trousers are great but I cannot do a lot with them. Wear them with a blue jacket or a white jacket and that is it. Any ideas? Please bear in mind I have no hips or bum…

Why do you need to wear a jacket with them? You know me, I would pair those with a stripe tee, (either white and cobalt, white and yellow, white and red) and simply tuck just a little corner inside and let the rest of the shirt hang out. I would also wear them with a denim button or white button down tied at the waist. And my last would be a white tee with a denim jacket.

Well..(this is going to bore you) I think I will really look like an inverted triangle if I do that. But I am going to give it a try. Jeans colour near my face is a no-no (something I found out. Like camel and beige. White is possible in summer, but usually I put something red underneath it. To be continued.

Cobalt blue was never my colour, but my eyes have gotten used to it now and any bright colour is good for me.

Never thought this post would qualify as a “favourite to date”. But here we are. Different people and different outlook on things. Diversity makes life so interesting.
And yes we had fun. I hope he continues to be my photographer. As for the legs… I know what I am doing when I put on skinnies, high heels and a jacket. LOL
