To continue my search in how to wear a skirt in a contemporary way, this time: my black leather skirt. You have seen it three times before: twice awefully styled, when it was still ankle long (here and here) and once after I had it cut (here). It was a good decision to take the hem up, but I still styled it in a very classic way. Looking at other bloggers I came up with this outfit and I am beginning to like it.
The skirt is ancient, the sweater is Marc by Marc Jacobs (last year’s). Shoes are Dune, dotted tights: Oroblu. Then the necklace… another present. From Sylvia (40+Style). When she came over last December she got it from a store in Amsterdam which I love: Zsiska. It is where I found the gold/yellow necklace I wore two posts earlier. They have some wonderful stuff and I think this purple necklace is the thing this outfit was missing. Because of the zips you cannot wear a lot on this sweater, but without a necklace it is a bit bare (as you can see here).
Over to the pictures. They were taken by Ron at the same Music building where we shot the blue sweater oufit. Nice, light and warm.
Below: checking my make-up before we start.Below: this is how I look when I am not smiling or laughing, which you don’t get to see very often.
Below: we were in the restaurant and Ron shot some arty pictures, which I like: knives ….
Below: … and glasses… (beautiful perspective).
Below: as soon as the crowd had gone indoors to the concert, we had the hall to ourselves. Ron told me to go up the stairs…
Below: … and to come down again. Something I don’t do much, going downstairs on high heels. My knees are getting older. And there were lots of steps too..
Below: upstairs the views were even better.
Below: there was an interesting wall with photos of all the people who played there.
Below: close-up of the tights.
Below: close-up of the necklace.
That was it for this post. Did you like this styling? Am I improving? Would you have done something differently?
