When I left for a week’s holiday in Spain, this was my travel outfit. Flat comfortable shoes, a stretchy blue/white striped capri and a white jacket + top (by Irie Wash). You saw the jacket before in this post. Nothing pinches and layers for temperature differences. Fortunately it was rather warm when we left The Netherlands. We were quite mean as we took all that warmth with us to Javea in Spain. LOL
What was the holiday like?? Well: 30 degrees Celcius, beach with some wind, swimming pool, shopping and 4 girlfriends to laugh with till after midnight. You will see some holiday shots at the end of the post. View Post
When you read this post, I am on holiday in Spain. Therefore a short post. Husband Ron photographed again, although “around the corner” is not his idea of fun. This rose tunic (brand Marc Cain) was a gift of Ron back in the beginning of January. It took me a while to style it. A black T-shirt was my first choice. Hmmm… didn’t do it justice. Then I remembered the complementary colour of red is green. And I had just bought a pair of grey green trousers. (Also featured in this post.) I know it is not a very big achievement but I am still pleased with myself for coming up with this outfit. (All relatives on my father’s side of the family are always very pleased with their own achievements. It is hereditary). View Post
Husband Ron has very good connections and lovely friends. One of them is Shoshanna who has recently changed career and is now a professional photographer. Ron asked her to make the photos for this post. We went to the old tram depot in Amsterdam, which is a bit of a run-down area. Very industrial which makes a nice contrast with the clothes I was wearing. The result of my visit to Dan (The Pretty Cute) gave me plenty outfits to choose from. As a matter of fact, I brought 4 outfits to the photo shoot. For this post I chose the checked black and white top. View Post
Finally some sunshine. What a lousy spring this has been. Husband Ron suggested we would do one of our favourite things: go to Amsterdam and drink cappuccino on a terrace facing the busy market of the Lindengracht. I decided to wear my dress in yellow, black and white. This dress was amongst the clothes I bought in the department shop while being told off for taking photos. Remember?? (See the full story in this post.) This dress is on the short side for me, as are the sleeves. But I liked it so much, I decided to ignore these shortcomings. Brand: Claudia Sträter.
Daniela (of the blog The Pretty Cute) gave me a (soft) kick up my bottom to wear more dresses and skirts again. Thank you Dan. It is true, people treat you differently when you are dressed elegantly. View Post
