Before summer is over you had to see this outfit. The cardigan by Max Mara is of course one of the items I bought at the Max Mara outlet in Turin. The bag as well. The top is by Zara, trousers are old; shoes by Michel Vivien, a Paris shoemaker (seen before here and here). The shoes were terribly expensive (fortunately a gift from husband Ron) but you can remove the flap leaving only straps, so you get two different pairs of shoes for the price of one (any excuse will do). These white trousers are the comfiest trousers you can imagine. The crotch hangs way low, they are soft as butter and they don’t pinch my belly. The name of the brand is Hope, a fantastic Swedish brand. All their stuff is sooo soft. They do “normal” trousers and dresses as well, but I happened to buy their “relaxed” items, as I did this winter (you saw my black and white trousers which I wore to Antwerp). View Post
The blogger meet-up in Vancouver was terrific because of all these fabulous women I met. As a bonus I got to take home many treasures. Like the art T-shirt Melanie (Bag and a Beret) made for me. Melanie is a gifted artist. She made the fun drawing on the front of the shirt (representing her alter ego Miz Bagg) and the quote “I surrender to chaos”. So sweet. I love the way Melanie looks at the world. View Post
One Sunday Sylvia, Anja and myself arranged to meet Misja Beijers, female 40+ photographer with a blog, showing many street style photos of women (and men) over 40. A really inspirational blog. Both Anja (Curly Traveller) and Sylvia (40+Style), had discovered this lady who is also living in our town Haarlem. As we all have quite a few things in common, a meet-up was organized by Sylvia. What should have been a beautiful sunny day, turned out to be a very humid, rainy day. Which ruins my hair completely. And you know how fussy I am about my hair….
Meeting Misja was fun (I will see her more often if possible) and she kindly took our pictures that day. A bad hair day is no reason to be a spoilsport, right? View Post
It was sooooo much fun…. the blogger meet up in Vancouver. I arrived on Thurday afternoon and was met by Suzanne Carillo (in above photo on the right) who visited us in The Netherlands last year. Suzanne is one of the organisers of the meet-up, together with Melanie (Bag and a Beret) and Sue (A Colourful Canvas), further referred to as “the girls”. Around 20 bloggers attended. From LA, Florida, Utah, Singapore, London, Haarlem (me), Vancouver and other places in the USA and Canada. View Post
