One Sunday late afternoon, Ron and I went to a nearby estate to walk our dog Charlie. She loves that park and I thought it would be a good photo opportunity. Because…. I was wearing the red sweater gained at the clothes swap during the 40+ Blogger meet-up. It used to be Ally’s who is a transgender and blogs as Shybiker. Ally picked my black pleated skirt with a coloured rim from the swap. I hope it was a fair trade as I really enjoy this sweater with its see-through hem.
As we arrived Ron wanted some action photos and threw his cap at me (it is his latest thing…). He made many, many photos of this “event” as I do not have any hand-eye coordination. At all. As you can see below. I don’t think I caught the darned thing more than once. Charlie was very interested to join the game.
Below: pathetic… honestly. To our surprise and delight there was a little fair going on. Some of the merchants were already packing up, but we were still able to see most of the stalls. I was very tough with myself and did not buy any jewellery or scarfs. I am a sucker at fairs… nearly every stall I am game.
Below: the pink calling card I am holding is the only thing I took from the jewellery stall.Below: plants and flowers for sale.
Below: icecream from a cute van.
Below: all sorts of meat products. I bought a French sausage and some spread.
Below: the mansion of the estate Beeckestijn. The weather was a bit unpredictable.
Below: in front of the house there is a sort of a grass dip with a path around it. That day filled with vans and stalls. Most of them selling food.
Below: biological chips, french fries, whatever you call them.
Below: I went for a waffle. A real Belgian one. Delicious.
Below: as I said.. delicious. Some cream on my nose thanks to Ron.
Below: this guy was lifting the mood with some old fashioned music.
Below: as the stalls were really packing up we went further down the park, to a formal garden. See how great a green background is with a red sweater?
Below: some photos of the flowers and the statue.
Below: Ron’s favourite: now you see me, now you don’t.
Below: one last one…. I love these little tree tunnels. Oh yes and the outfit: red sweater with black see-through hem (Ally’s), white skinnies (Adriano Goldschmied), All Stars sneakers, black and white bracelet (Etsy shop by Bella, the Citizen Rosebud) and a little thrifted leather bag.
