Joline Jolink is a Dutch designer. Every new garment she designs, like these wide khaki trousers, has to be versatile. You should be able to combine it with a lot of her other pieces, old and new. That way she creates a sustainable wardrobe for her customers, one you can use for a longer time than just one (fashion) season. In case you missed the first link, her website is www.jolinejolink.com. Dutch readers should really take a peek. View Post
Still on flat shoes. As this cream dress by Sportmax is too short (always was a “problem”) I added trousers. I don’t mind flat boots with trousers.
My friend Misja (MisjaB) came over for a cup of coffee/tea in my lonely hours at home and I asked her very kindly whether she would take a few outfit shots for today’s post. She agreed and we took these in the street behind my house. It was done in a couple of minutes but when you have a professional photographer like Misja, all shots are good.
Not much variety of course, as my options to create a post showing different areas or different backgrounds are limited. It will have to do dear readers. Until the knee is better. View Post
One of the perks of blogging: you meet kindred souls. Like blogger Nicolene from South Africa. We got to “know” each other through Instagram (Stylecuratrix), when Nicolene showed great pieces from the H&M Conscious collection. I loved them and tried to track them down in Europe. So we mailed and we followed each other’s IG account and I got to like her. She is a laywer by profession and works full time. Which means her blog – Fifty Fabulous (Stylecuratrix) – sometimes has to suffer. View Post
That wasn’t easy.. choosing what to wear to Marianne’s 70th birthday party. Of course I wanted to look my best without outstaging the birthday girl. With the restriction that I had to style an outfit with flat shoes. So I opted for the black sneakers again (like last week) and worked my way up. Chose a pair of 7/8 trousers as I knew I had to show some flesh (not bare, mind you, it was too cold for that; silly fashion these days to wear sneakers with bare feet IN WINTER). Last I pulled this red Sportmax dress out of the closet. Not as flashy as I would have wanted but I liked it enough. View Post
When I bought this dress, it was supposed to be for autumn. Which struck me as strange. It is very lightweight and I get cold very easily. I therefore tried it on in summer (don’t you love wearing your new purchases as soon as possible? I do). It was evidently too warm. So I wore it in September and October with sheer hold-ups plus pumps and with a pair of 3/4 trousers plus sneakers (see this post from Paris). In November I got cold. And I tried my hand at what so many women do: I styled the dress for winter. Not my normal thing as I am a lucky so and so, I have a big wardrobe, with clothes for every season. View Post
