My face is a bit silly in this picture. It was the start of another glorious Shopping Saturday with my friends Sabine and Anke. As the knee wasn’t up to shopping (story is getting old) we decided (or I dictated) to shop in Haarlem. That way I could travel by bike instead of walking. Riding a bike is good for the knee. We started in a place called Heemstede which is glued to Haarlem, as we had done before in February 2017 (see this post). View Post
I bet you said “WOW, my goodness” when you opened this post. An orange trouser suit is not for the faint-hearted, especially not in such a bright shade. Readers who have been following my blog for a while, know it is definitely something for me. I don’t mind standing out in the crowd. If somebody doesn’t like it, well tough, we are all different, we all have a different taste. You don’t have to like it for me to feel good. Of course if everybody was to tell me I look aweful in an outfit, it would make me doubt. But I do have a mirror and I am not blind. View Post
BVA friends, allotment garden and family.. means a bit of everything. Not a very thought-through, well styled (ahem) post but more like a lot of things thrown together. You don’t mind, do you? It is about friends, outfits, husband’s allotment garden and a family Sunday. View Post
One of those glorious spring days, just begging to sit on a terrace and have a drink. I wore my new wide blue trousers, which are very lightweight and great for wearing with sneakers. That Saturday I had to run a few errands in town (on my bike as riding a bike is very good for my knee and walking isn’t). When I was on my way home, I stopped to have a cappuccino at Café de Zwaan. My neighbour Loes pulled up next to me on her bike. Me: “Hi Loes, I am about to have lunch. Care to join me?” And she answered: “Always a good idea. Where?” I knew Café de Zwaan did lunch, so we “parked” the bikes.
