With so much greenery around me, I have a tinge of verdigris too. You’ll see the outfit in its usual colours further down. It wasn’t my intention to combine the pale yellow jumper with dark blue jeans. The HIGH jeans I bought together with a black peplum top which you will see later in the year, as it is still too warm to wear it now.

On the day Marjolein took photos of this outfit, I visited my posture instructor who is in a rehabilitation centre for her head injury. She is doing really well. The centre is in The Hague, and there was time enough to see Marjolein as well. The photo shoot was a bit impromptu, nothing arranged but I brought my camera with me, just in case.

It meant we didn’t go anywhere and did the photo shoot in Marjolein’s garden and outside in her neighbourhood.

Below: I seem to be standing with my backside in the air a lot. That is because I cannot bend down the normal way with that arthrosis knee. Marjolein’s cat came for cuddles.

Below: Details: around the stylised flowers on the jumper is a fine line in the colour lime. Lime is better near my face than pale yellow, so I bought a lime necklace on Etsy. The belt is a second-hand thing from a charity shop. Champagne coloured ankle boots by EIJK Store and a blue with golden bag by Dries van Noten. The dark blue jeans are straighter than the usual wide trousers I am wearing these past few years. Quite nice to have jeans again in a different shape.

Below: I do have a close-up, though rather green. It shows you the pattern of the jumper quite clearly. I bought the jumper in the same outlet store of Margriet Nannings where I also bought my checked lime blazer. The jumper’s brand is Paul Smith. I love Margriet Nannings’ store but the prices for the fashion she sells, are usually too high for me. Her outlet shop is just across the road from her normal shop.

What happened in my life this week?

Not too much. No photo shoot with Marjolein as my hair looked terrible, even with the hairpiece. It is so long that I look unkept. Luckily, I have enough photos in stock to last me a couple of weeks and on Friday I went to the hairdresser again. She didn’t say “I told you so” as I was the one who asked her to keep it long the previous time, but I could see that in her eyes.

Last Saturday was another Shopping Saturday with Anke and Sabine. Fabulous of course. We went to a beautiful historical town in the east of the country, Deventer. It is drive of about an hour and 45 minutes, which to Dutch standards is FAR AWAY. You are going to love that post, although not much fashion / clothes shops in Deventer. I bought a long raincoat for doggy walks.
At the end of the day we decided to have dinner in Deventer. Looking for a table at a restaurant on Saturday at 18.00 hrs is like looking for a needle in a haystack. However, I can put honey in my voice and phoned the restaurant / café of our choice. No…fully booked. “Can we be seated and eat at the bar?” I asked. Yes, that was possible and he reserved those places. The thing was…when you are sitting next to each other and want to talk, you have to twist your body to one side. Which I did for nearly an hour. The food was great, the service marvellous but twisting my body had consequences. Oh boy, my butt muscles and the muscles in my right upper leg and right side hurt so much for 3 days.

Update on Watson

The new prednisone and antibiotic courses work wonders with our dog. He sneezes so much less which is nice for the dog and fantastic for me (less cleaning work). It is not to say that the courses will cure him. After all, he had the medicines before and they didn’t cure him, but we have hope again.

Loes came for tea but I forgot to take a photo of her. We picked a date for a photo shoot together.

Ron spent a lot of time at his allotment, sometimes together with Froukje. And Froukje gave me a piece of cake before they left on Sunday. I am always in for nice food and cake, something Froukje had noticed as well haha.

One morning the whole family was at the computer in order to get tickets for an event for Zoë. She will turn 4 in a short while and she loves this event. We didn’t get any tickets which was very disappointing. But…Zoë’s dad tried again later on and got the tickets! Hero.

I saw my friend Neiske again and her darling little boy Jacob. It’s important to nurture friendships as friends are so important in one’s life. Certainly in mine. Forgot to take a photo.
