My name is Greetje Kamminga, I am Dutch, born in 1954. Married and living with man, dog and cat. Pretty stepdaughter lives on her own. There is little time in my life to blog with a full time job, but I try. It is for everone, but probably most appealing for women over 40, like me (oh alright...... I am way over).

This coral wrap doesn’t look that bad, right? Still, it is a styling failure as far as I am concerned. I tried to make this lovely piece of Irish lambswool suit my style. But whatever I tried, it didn’t feel like me. Only when I was snuggled up on the couch, it felt right, like a little blanket. Which it is of course. It was a thrift score again. And again at Kat & Ko, the thrift shop where I got my green dress and orange bag. I fell for the colour and the quality (John Hanly & Co. Ltd. since 1893.. never heard of but it sounds bloody good). Oh and the low price: € 40. View Post
When I arranged to meet my friend Marjolein, I was in need of blog photos. Seems to be a recurring thing. This time the “theme” was sequins. She didn’t mind taking my pictures that afternoon. Great. Now…. would she know a good place to do the shoot? No wind, indoors with a lot of daylight, therefore huge windows? Her husband came up with Urban Farmers in The Hague. Fantastic place. The two top floors of a seven-storey building were converted into a greenhouse and farmers’ market. So nice and weird finding this in the middle of a city. View Post
Grinning like an idiot. That’s me most of the times. Suffering severe cold temperatures in this green print T-shirt dress. Yes, T-shirt dress. Nothing warm about it. Standing in this wind-free corner it wasn’t too bad, but there were other moments when the wind was freezing and my skin had goose pimples. Even Ron, fully dressed with coat, got back in the car afterwards and said: “Oh let’s go home immediately, I am freezing”. You can imagine how it was for me. I did wear a skirt and T-shirt from Bellamy Gallery underneath it, otherwise it would have been too cold. View Post
In fall you were all very enthousiastic about this orange leather skirt worn with peeptoe shoes. It is not difficult to combine it with winter clothes. Just throw on a black sweater, black tights and black boots or shoes and Bob’s your uncle. I did that at Christmas, but it was a bit too easy. Together with friend and neighbour Anja (Curly Traveller), we came up with this outfit. View Post
Right.. 2018.. first blogpost. Back to normal. I wore this blue cardigan jacket with the striped leggings when visiting Marianna. She is one of the members of the BVA friends group which you have seen many times. Marianna decided to move to the east of the country, which is a two hours drive. As we Dutch are used to everything and everybody being very nearby, a two hours drive means very far away. It is worse for her as she will have to drive the distance 5 times when the others are host of the day. Nice thing for her is that she has family and friends living near. View Post
