Our blogger friend Josep-Maria from Catalunya has ended his blog Sense Corbata…/ No tie…. where he featured many of us in his weekly round-up of stylish women. Which is why many of us pay tribute to him with a special post, dressed in black.
In this women’s blogging world it is so nice to hear a real man’s voice and this voice is now silent. Fortunately not completely silent, as he still visits our blogs. He is honest, charming, witty and we all love him dearly. So, Josep-Maria: this one is for you. (Actually last week’s post was also for you but I had to change it as I got a message at the last minute that the tribute is this week and not last week. Pffff…. that was stress.)
As the code is: “black”, I am dressed in the same black jacket from the Christman/New Year post. Different skirt though. Somehow this official portret seems very befitting for the occasion. Plus you like a classic outfit.Â
OK, below I have added my favourite yellow bag. Below:Â Please notice the socks on the legs of the chair. The owner of the house where Alexandra and I shot these photos did this. So funny. And functional: no scratches on the parquet floor.Â
Below: here am I killing myself laughing over an ornament in my hand. I just could not figure out what it was.Below: saying goodbye to your blog dear Josep-Maria. Don’t you think this is an appropriate photo to end my post with?Nevertheless I do hope you will keep on visiting my blog and give me your honest opinions. You often make me laugh too.

Also linking up to Patti’s blog Not Dead Yet, where some 100 bloggers (mostly over 40) come together. A gathering called Visible Monday.
It’s sad to see a blog you’ve been following faithfully end – it’s like suddenly there’s a tiny bit missing. You look chic and respectful in your all-black ensemble!
I do, don’t I? It is an old outfit which I would not easily wear anymore. My style has changed since I blog. This outfit is a bit too classic to my new taste, but I am running out of clothes to show haha.
How sad to lose the voice of a blogger that you so admire and respect. But no doubt he had his reasons for ceasing the blog. You must feel so honored to have been chosen as one of his stylish women. Although you certainly fit the category!
Much love from England,
Rose from http://www.foreveronthecatwalkoflife.blogspot.com
Thank you, dear Rosemary. I was honoured evry time he featured me. What awed me the most was that he found my first blog post (attempt) with the first two photos and immediately asked whether he could use them. How flattering is that?
What a sweet tribute.
I don’t even care for bags but now I want a yellow one just like yours!
The socks on the chair are killing me.
This seems so stoic since I’ve seen you in your jeans. Rod Stewart wrote a song about you a while back called “Hot Legs”.

This Coach bag is even better as a tote in yellow. When I was contemplating to buy it, I thought the tote was a bit too big for me. Now I wish I had opted for that one. Never mind …this one is nice too, but more ladylike.
And the way I dress has changed since I blog. This outfit with the black jacket and pencil skirt is about 10 years old. More classic, more prim and proper. I would not wear it anymore really. Time to pass it on or find a way to update it.
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww you look like a true queen of style, my dear Greetje.
I left the link up open for a week before and nobody joined.
I will leave it open for a week in february if you think it is a goos idea.

I sometimes catch up too late. Or my post will be published three days later than your link-up. And then only two days is not enough. Does it cost money to keep it open longer? I don’t want to put you out. Glad you like my royal pose.
As usual, you make me smile! And I adore that yellow handbag along with the black. Gorgeous!
xo~kim
Yellow and black is such a nice combination. The bag is Coach. I ordered it from the USA last year. I am very pleased with it but that was an expensive purchase. Not just because of the bag itself but because of the added cost of shipment and customs. Won’t do that again soon.
Great to see another collaboration. And your quips about the prop had me laughing. It’s a good idea to carry along a weird thing to lighten up a tight mood, I’ll have to remember that. I’m sad now that I didn’t know Josep-Maria’s blog! But I wish him well. Your tribute post is fantastic Greetje, and the yellow is bam!
Thank you Melanie. I am often surprised that you like my stuff. As I am so much more conservative. On the other hand… I like yours too haha. This is where two worlds meet.
What a lovely tribute to your friend! And, you look fabulous, love that yellow bag. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.
I finally made the link with your Visible Monday in time. So glad for that. The bag is Coach and ordered from the USA. Which was an expensive business with shipping and customs. I won’t do that again. I think.
I will definitely miss Josep & his blog! You are looking so dignified from head to toe here Greet!!!

I drop by often, but due to time constraints I have little chance to stop along all my favourite blogs to idle with comment, however, you always look fantastic and this outfit is uber chic, looking very elegant!
FF
Ahhh… that is very kind of you. Thanks ever so much for dropping by and for this comment. I thought this outfit was a bit outdated, but I believe I have to reconsider this.
so elegant, love the yellow pop of color with your bag
Thank you Marla. It is elegant but not really my style anymore. Too classic.
Greetje you did it yet again! This is so clever and stunning! I like the choice of yellow bag to give color to the whole ensemble and love the pattern on the skirt too! Yup, elegant is the word 🙂
GREETINGS FROM DUBAI!
MRS JACK OF ALL TRADES (a fashion and life-style blog)
http://mrsjackofalltradesdaily.blogspot.ae/
It is from an expensive shop (Pauw) with good shop assistents. One of them came up with this outfit. I had the skirt tightened a bit, more tapered. Adding a pop of colour with a bag is easy, so I thought of that myself. LOL
Nice skirt!
Thank you.
What a wonderful tribute to our dear supportive friend Josep-Maria! I’m so glad he is staying in touch with his charming comments!
You look fabulous in this classy outfit, love the horizontal/vertical pinstripes in the pencil skirt. I would buy it if I ever saw one!!
Have a wonderful week!
♥ carmen
I have to think of something more modern to wear with the skirt.
What a sweet thing for all of you to do. He is a perceptive gentleman with excellent taste.
You look as beautiful as always here, Greetje. Hope you are having a wonderful week.
You know bloggers… They always do sweet things for one another.
Greetje, You paid him an honor wearing that lovely outfit. The velvet jacket is beautifully tailored and I adore the patterned skirt, The yellow bag-perfect pop of color for the somewhat dressy outfit,. Love the
booties, too, which lends a contemporary edge. You are perfection!

and how i laughed when i saw the socks!
Haha funny Elle. I know the truth. But I will enjoy the compliments anyway.
What an incredibly beautiful tribute to our great friend. I have read through all your comments and agree whole heartily with the others, this look (as you call it “the old Greetje”) is so classy and stylish. I quite like it on you. No, I actually love this look on you. And, the updated look with the ever so wonderful Coach bag is the icing on the cake. See, you do need to move here, we have coach stores at every shopping mall, all within 10 minutes from my home. By the way, your photos are looking very professional.
Thank you Trina. The heart-ache of blogging. Becoming friends with somebody who lives thousands of miles away….
I will never move. I adore my stupid little country. With 4 seasons (most of the times it rains …). With people who are direct although sometimes rude. Who complain a lot but also give a lot. My roots are so firmly planted here, I do not want to leave.
I could visit you though. Don’t get excited…… long term planning, as at the moment I have not only given my credit cards to my husband for safe-keeping, but also my debet cards…. Tranferring money from my saving account wasn’t the way to go (duh).
I’m from Barcelona and just now I know “sense corbata” too late, what a pitty.
Your look is really nice, I like it so much!

His blog has stopped but you can still see his posts. And thank you for the compliment.
What a nice outfit on you! I do love this style!! And the booties and bag are just wonderful..you look quite different , but beautiful as ever! (for me a new version of “my dear Greetje!!”)
It is an “old” version of me. The new Greetje would find this a bit too classic. But it can also be a case of “I am bored with this old outfit” as It is at least 10 years old.
I like both versions of you! But people changes, and personal style must change with them!
Very true
Greetje, I was not aware that Josep had closed his fashion blog. Your tribute to him is eloquent and generous, just as he is with his comments and fashion posts. I will miss reading his comments.
You, every bit the elegant lady in this post. Lovely! You look very at ease in this understated elegance.
The style is, however, more the “old” Greetje. I would think it to be too classic now. The booties help though.
Greetje dear, I’m so happy and so excited. I was surprised by this initiative, I never thought my simple blog could get much friendship and affection. You are so kind to me. I’m happy, because I got to show that one can speak fashion, a polite and respectful manner. Greetje who know me well! You know what I like, I really appreciate that you’ve dressed like that for me. But I also like the daring and modern Greetje. A big hug to my good friend.
It is your charming personality which brings you these things. We all like you because you are genuine. It is you who got me blogging because you a) found my blog with the very first post and b) you wanted to use the first two photos. I was so surprised and flattered that it got me interested. Thank you for that. I don’t know who took the initiative for this tribute to you. Dan warned me by mail that the initiative was there.
I don’t know Josep, but what a lovely tribute. Greetje, your ensemble is very elegant and the pop of yellow is fantastic. Your look says you mean business, but you have a creative and sunny-side. Love it! BTW, the photos are lovely too.
And the photos will improve even more as we had a very rainy grey day and no daylight lamps. Thank you for the compliments.
Lovely post my friend! Great bag, the yellow is a wonderful contrast. I miss Josep-Maria’s post too. Always fun to see his choices and meet new bloggers. These are great pictures. It’s hard to get enough light when shooting inside and you have done it beautifully. I’m fond of the pattern of this skirt.
blue hue wonderland
I had the skirt taken in. Now it is so tight I have to treat it like a pair of trousers if I need to use the bathroom hahaha. I am going to invest how much it costs to buy Alexandra some daylight lamps for our shoots. As these photos are not sharp enough. Your photos my dear, is the hight we are aiming for.
WOW, looking sooooo elegant and classic, yet with a modern vibe due to the bag and the booties.
A very nice tribute to Josep sho I just met lately.
Best
xo
Yes, he is a charming man. This style however is more the “old” Greetje. A bit too classic to my taste now, although the booties update it a bit.
I love your bag Greetje – but then, you know I love anything with a tassle!
So do I. It is my mature love. Explanation: I love bows very much, but they sometimes make things look a bit childish. A tassle is my mature bow.
I’m very sad to hear that Josep-Maria is no longer a part of this community. He was always appreciative of our self expression and he will be dearly missed. Your tribute in black is very elegant, Greetje. Beautiful background and I never visit your site without smiling!
Oh good.. Smiling is good. I bet you smiled because of the little socks.
What a nice tribute to your friend’s blog! I like this very business like outfit with the pop of color with your purse.

Hello! I like your look to participate in the tribute to Tie Sensa, especially yellow bag that contrasts with the dark clothes. Kss
And I love my yellow bag.
Can I steel your bag and booties? They make your classy look really special!
Looking at your first photo, you look like a Royal 🙂 Very elegant! But Josep-Maria will love your smiling photo most 🙂
I remember you last week’s panic 😉
