What a great colour combination, these blue linen trousers with a lime shirt. Blue and yellow is always good (lime is a sort of yellow, right?). I was a bit puzzled about which shoes to wear with it; I chose these green ones from my vast collection of shoes (haha). They have a little heel and the trousers are quite long, they echo the green of the necklace and yellow + blue = green. Silver bag as that goes with nearly everything and doesn’t make the outfit matchy matchy.
Marita and I met for a coffee on a terrace at the Spaarne canal in Haarlem, where an old bridge often opens for boats during summer. Such a good sight to see.

The linen trousers are a great model on me, with the pleats structured on the side. They create the hips I haven’t got. The lime shirt is the one I bought to wear under the blue cardigan, just showing an inch at the top. However, it was very long and very oversized; couldn’t style it at all. I had the tailor shorten it and take it in at the sides. The necklace is an old one from my chunky necklace collection.

What happened in my life this week
First a little garden update. Below three photos of the garden, taken on the 22nd of July.
Thursday evening, I had another photo/camera event, this time in my own town, photographing things that strike you in a certain area of Haarlem, called Vijfhoek (Five corners).
Below: The three photos I chose to send in. Of course, I took a lot of photos of houses and house details, but I really love the one of the two men sitting in front of their house, going through their work schedule for the next day. I had a lovely chat with them. And later on I had a chat with two other gentlemen who invited me into their home and garden when they saw me photographing their house. Honestly, a camera is like a dog, it gets you to socialize with people.

Below: I wore this outfit, which was on the blog in this post, but at the time I tied it in a bow and a bow is not a good thing on my belly. This way below is much better.
Below: Marianne’s son walked in with groceries, wearing this T-shirt which he bought on his holiday in Spain. Marianne is fluent in Spanish, but even I could make out what it said: “No need for internet. My mother knows everything.” Hahaha.
After visiting Marianne I had to go downtown Haarlem and stopped at kpa.haarlem. This time I got out without falling for something.
There was a lovely lady in the shop with her pretty daughter and we got on well. I thought she looked so good, I had to photographed her for you (below).
Below: And I ran into these 2 young men and told them, “This is how it is done!” They looked fantastic. Turned out they work at Suit Supply, a shop in men’s clothes haha.
