ANNOUNCEMENT
from now on I will only post once a week. On Wednesday. I love blogging, but I also like the rest of my life. And the rest of my life is suffering. Not enough time to do anything. So choices had to be made. Alas.
Back to today’s outfit.
You have seen this lime corduroy jacket before with black trousers and hairy black boots. I bought it with cream/grey corduroy trousers at Pauw (again). To me, this combination is better than the one with the black trousers.
The boots are really special, with golden smudges on the leather and bows at the top and on the instep.
A sales bargain of many, many years ago. They were expensive (orginally) but sooo comfortable even though they have a spike heel. They make the combination more special with the little bow peaking from under the trousers.
The brooch is vintage and a gift from a friend.
Hope you like it. No jokes this time.

I really love the lime colour of your blazer, Greetje.Personally, I prefer the combination with black as in your other post.I think it would look good with a scarf that contains lime, black and a light colour. Like this one: http://bit.ly/UjU6ZSWhat do you think?Looking foward to your Wednesday posts!AnnetteLady of Style
Very pretty scarf… A bit pricy. And it s always difficult to find the same at a (much) lower price haha. I will be on the look-out.The jacket with black trousers and high heels will also be good.

I think this outfit is perfect! You really look great! Definately in my top 3.
Aha, so this in is the third in your top 3. Surprise, surprise. This one is doing well with everybody. Indeed a surprise. An oldy but goody.
Nice boot, can I recommend a A-line skirt to compliment this awesome boot.
Thanks that is a very good idea. I have a charcoal A-line skirt. A simple one. Just need to figure out what top to wear with it.
Oh goodie. Glad you have such an open mind.
I agree with Josep-Maria. There were blogs I followed but they started posting 8-10 times a week. Had to unsuscribe, not enough time to keep up with them. Besides, the material offered suffered. I always prefer quality over quantity. And you’re all quality, lady! Once a week is like a delicious treat we wait all week to get!
Such compliments make me blush. I will try and never disappoint you.
I know what you’re talking about blogging….. I’m there!!!!And yes, we must set priorities and our real life is more important, I think.I also agree with the others, you are all quality, dear! And with your great figure…..As for the outfit I love it, so bright in this gray winter days!Take care, lovexoxo
I knew you would understand Fernanda. And Happy Valentine’s Day to the both of you.
Hope you’re having a Happy Valentine’s Day, dears Suzanne and Greetje!!!xo
Happy Valentine’s Day Seeker! Suzanne
That colour does something for you. This one I like too. Cream isn’t the colour I would think off at first to combine it with. But it works and it already gives me a feeling of spring. Love the brooch. About the boots you have to find something to wear them with, so you could see them in full length, I think they deserve that. The name Betty Boop pops up when I look at them.
Lime is one of my favourite colours. As is red, purple, bright fuchsia, bottle green, orange, yellow… bright colours. As for the boots… I used to wear them with a skirt in the same colours but threw in too many items. So I have to find another combination with them. More minimal above the boots.
I think it is a wise decision. Life can not be monothematic and we need to enjoy it more. I, at least, I can not follow all the blogs that interest me, because some people post them without stopping. I love your outfit and your corduroy jacket lemon. It is beautiful with white pants. A look bright and fresh. The boots are wonderful.
I feel all the more flattered by your visits. Knowing you cannot follow them all.
So sorry we won’t see you so often but life is for living so good for you! I have noticed a few bloggers cutting back on their posts in the last few weeks. It’s almost a full time job keeping up with all the blogs I like. I look forward to seeing you on Wednesdays. Lovely outfit by the way. Have a great week! Marie S x
Thanks for your faithful pledge. Much appreciated.
I love the color and the fit of the jacket, but the boots are REALLY special. I have always enjoyed you ‘ladder’ photos. I totally understand your decision to post once per week. I have made the same decision so that I too can enjoy all facets of life. I continue to love blogging, but needed to set a pace that was less pressured. Hope this works for you!
It is like an addiction… I have to kick off LOL.
Love your outfit! The colors are really good. The pale trousers with the bright green-yellow jacket are really great together. It look like spring is on your mind! As for the timing, my advice is just to do what feels good. I’ve been having a hard time keeping up with my three day a week posting schedule too. It’s not easy! I’m happy to see your outfits even if its nay once a week.
Oh good. I like to keep my blogfriends. And thanks for the compliments.
Love, love, love those boots! I’m sure that comes as no surprise from miss shoe lover. I think the lime and cream are a perfect combination. I totally understand about your Wednesday only post. Life is way too short to not spend quality time with family and friends. I couldn’t agree more about your blog posts being of utmost quality. I will look forward to every Wednesday. Take care beautiful lady.
You are so kind. It is hard to cut down as I love my blog friends as well. Therefore I am very pleased with your intention to look me up every Wednesday.
Love this outfit Greetje. Great colours, modern and so fresh for winter. Really shows of your amazing body too!
“Amazing body”…. It still makes me giggle when somebody makes a remark like that. Thanks.
That jacket just bring the whole outfit to life. I love, love the colour and shape so much. You know me, and my my matching print love, Lol.You know I do respect and expect your honest opinion everytime, dear Greetje.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
This is a favourite look for me. Just gorgeous. And those boots, in particular, are sublime!Look forward to dropping in on a Wednesday.
Hi Luc, how nice you found your way to my blog. Thanks for commenting with such compliments.
Simply gorgeous and totally you and flattering! And a very wise decision about blogging less!
Thank you Anja. Much appreaciated coming from my stylist. LOLAnd blogging only once a week is wise, I know. But with pain in my heart.
I love the jacket and the trousers, but I’m not sure about the corduroy/corduroy combination? The colors work excellent together, though! Sorry to hear that you won’t be posting as often, but I understand you:)
I think because the rib of the jacket is differen to the rib of the trousers, these two corduroy pieces do not clash. And I hope you will still visit me on Wednesday’s.
This is one my favorite jackets, that color looks great on you and I like the corduroy. Have you ever tried with a purple skirt or pants (if you have those, La Dress I believe, although probably not the right style to combine it with), also a color combination I love and purple usually looks good on you? The boots are still a winner as they stand out.
Purple would be a great colour to go with it, but I have no purple trousers. Just black and these. Perhaps add purple as a third colour?
Happy Valentine’s Day to one of my favorite couples! I hope it is a special day for both of you. :)I think this outfit is wonderful – and the boots are amazing. They look high-end designer – like Prada! The brooch is the perfect finishing touch. You are my fashion icon.I understand the change to once a week posting. I will be here every Wednesday. Love, Suzanne
I know. I miss blogging and you as well. But I got some really great nights in return. Went out Friday evening with a (girl) friend and we killed ourselves laughing over diner (Jaimie Oliver concept restaurant). You could mail me. I would like that. My mail address is on top of this site. You can create any mailaddress yourself on gmail or hotmail.
I am so glad I can depend on you for the Wednesdays. And we hugged and kissed for Valentine and I left him a nice card. Most years he is way ahead of me, leaving me with feelings of guild. This year I beat him.And the boots are by Roberto Rinaldi, obviously an Italian designer. There was Italian writing on the box so I take it, it is true.
I am missing you a little. 🙂 It will make the days you do post even more special though. I wanted to tell you that I got my yellow raincoat. It is very YELLOW! LOL! It is by Via Spiga and came in an XSPetite so I feel lucky as I do not have to have it tailored. You would love the color. Now I need some very cool rainboots to wear with it. Any excuse to go shoe shopping!Your Valentine’s Day was sweet – like you! I got a huge heart-shaped box of Godiva chocolates! They will last until next Valentine’s Day – unless my children come home for a visit! Love, Suzanne
Love love that hot color of the blazer Greetje….so are the pretty boots!! I dont blame you for thinking of posting just once a week…..it can really get so tedious….hahaha!!! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY MY DEAR!!Rebecca http://www.redtagchiclosangeles.com
It is more stressful than anything else. Thanks for the compliments.
This is so beautiful. Brightened up my day. Love the zesty lime. The entire outfit works beautifully. I totally understand the demands of trying to blog every day. My homemade photographers are flaky and I just can’ keep up. Trying, but I don’t know. I may have to cut down to once a week myself. I’ll still be visiting to check out your inspirational outfits..xo
I am quite surprised by all the praize this outfit is getting. It is old and I did not wear it much anymore. Have to reassess this.
