As I have often said, I am not very good at styling, at making new combinations. But because there are many women (and my husband) in my life who are, you think I am just being modest, haha. Not true but never mind. The outfit you see today is a blatant copy of the original, thought up by Trina of Tea Time with Trina. She created 5 combinations with her new yellow sandals.
As I told her: copying is the best compliment you can get. And she lives in Utah and I live in Holland, so it is not that she runs into me all the time thinking: “get a life (combination) of your own”.
I also copied Sylvia of 40+Style as she had this belt first and I nagged so much about it, that she went to the shop and bought it for me. I did pay her back… honestly. Copying is bad enough haha. Sylvia also lives far away in Singapore, so again no chance of running into each other. But it must be weird for them to look at these blog pictures. Thank you ladies.
The bracelet I bought through Esty in the shop of Bella (The Citizen Rosebud). So it came all the way from America, in a lovely parcel with cut-out hearts and a paper figure and a scarf trown in “as the parcel was making the trip anyway”…. Thank you Bella.
Sandals you have seen before here and here.
Below: I would prefer boyfriend jeans which are a little longer, but I don’t have them.
Below: oops… my feet are also getting old. LOL

This set I like and I like it. The delicate yellow jacket is gorgeous and the shoes are wonderful. I like the combination with the black top and belt bicolor. The jeans will always look good, even pirates. As I do not like the Capri, but I like this measure. I really like your bracelet, to match the belt. A nice look. Your foot is very nice, do not worry.
I worry a lot about wrinkles, but it does not help. So I decided to give up the worrying.
Love the yellow sandals, you wear them beautifully. I also thought Trina’s post was great and I’m betting she is complimented by your inspiration. Your jacket is lovely.
blue hue wonderland
Hi Ann, yes Trina had a good old laugh about it. She doesn’t mind at all.
I felt a bit ashamed that I had not come up with more combinations with these shoes. They deserve it.
Greetje! I love that there are such a variety of influence on you- the gorgeous Sylvia and Trina- and you do them proud! Love the bright blazer, and your sassy shoes with the boyfriend jeans. AND THAT BRACELET MUST BE SO HAPPY. Cuz you are rockin’ it. Thank you for the shout out and for your sweet kind support. xo. Bella
Wore the bracelet again today with my black and white summer outfit. It proves to be a very good buy.

Love those yellow sandals! So much so, it is almost necessary to make a trip to Holland! I think your styling is great — don’t worry if you’ve seen it somewhere else. We all borrow and customize looks to suit ourselves. If people think you dress well, say smile and say “thanks!”
Those yellow sandals were bought in Antwerp, so a trip to Holland would be nice but pointless to buy these shoes haha.
They do sell online, but they are expensive (my husband bought these yellow sandals for me and they were in the sale…). This is the link:

Greetje, Copying (if that’s what you want to call it), is a girlfriend’s greatest compliment, so thank you dear friend. I also would love to have you live right next door instead of right across the world. As Jan said, you definitely put a whole Greetje new spin on this ensemble. I so wish I could copy your wittiness and sense of humor, but I kind of think that’s one of a kind.
By the way, love your hubby’s cooking attire on your face book post.
Lovely comment Trina, thank you… you little grandmother. YEAH
Trina yellow shoes are fabulous! And I like to see you in yours too so I can get inspiration from you too!

I am smitten with your shoes, completely and utterly in love with the pair!
FF
I have to admit, so am I. They were pricy (fortunately they knocked 30% off), but very unusual. And although pretty high heeled, I can still walk on them. Quite easity even.
Thanks for leaving a comment.
The jeans look great on you. I enjoy your blog very much, it is obvious that you are enjoying blogging. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Bobbi for visiting and leaving a comment.
I’m a sucker for yellow. You look great in this outfit!

Hello my fellow challenge meeter LOL. Didn’t you look great in Sylvia’s challenge?
Thanks for commenting (and in such a nice way).
Who knew that these candy yellow sandals could be so versatile? Of course – YOU did! And your wonderful husband for getting them for you. These shoes look so different in each of the three outfits. I love that. This whole look is so fun and bright. What a strange sales guy not to sell you the wider jeans. Just as well, you look fantastic in the skinnies. And what a great global style collaboration.
PS. I really loved Bella’s piece on you!
Actually it was my friend and neighbour Anja who saw the possibilities of yellow shoes. I bought a pair for next to nothing in a thrift shop. After she styled 9 outfits with them, I told my husband what a shame it was that those shoes were hurting my feet. And that is why I got new yellow shoes from him. The ones in this post. Which are harder to combine because of the (removable) flap.
Then Trina styled 5 outfits without any problems with her yellow shoes. So I got cracking.
Bella’s piece on me is soooo sweet. She really surprised me with that.
Thanks for stopping by and leavind your kind comment.
I am loving this belt you are wearing
Brett
Isn’t it a beauty? After I saw Sylvia from 40+Style with that belt, I searched high and low but could not find anything similar. So I was very pleased she brought me the same one.
Love your outfit! You make me want to pull my blazer out of storage and wear it with my bf jeans.
Sorry I’ve been MIA recently. Your new posts don’t seem to be showing up in bloglovin.
I hear this complaint more often. I have asked my IT guy about it and he says my posts should show up. Is this happening after I changed from Blogger to WordPress? And changed servers? Perhaps you can use this url of my feed?

And I think you should keep your blazer in storage for a while. Still too hot where you are.
I love Ariane too, dear Grretje, and I want your gorgeous sandals.

Sorry dear, sandals are last years haha.
None of us do it well in a vacuum! Trina and all your “inspir-ators” will be thrilled that you liked what they did enough to use their freely given ideas! ( If “inspirators” isn’t a real word, I’m making it one … people who conspire to inspire!) You sure made this your own and it looks great. Yummy in yellow!
Oh what fun, you make me feel like a candy treat haha.
Your jacket is beautiful on you and has a delicate shade of yellow. The sandals are simply wonderful, and Bella’s bracelet is nice indeed…( and your feet are all right!!)
I love to incorporate the black and white into my colour stuff instead of using colour with my black and white outfits. It is the other way around. Fun road to travel.
A different way to look at things. . . I like it!
What a gorgeous yellow jacket and I love denim with yellow!! You look great!
I have one pair of yellow sandals–Josep-Maria added me to his collection (don’t you just love him? – he is so encouraging to us). That’s where I first saw your style! You might remember this outfit in his blog.

I still love capris!! They look feminine and summer-fresh! They show off your sandals nicely. I think your shoes would look good with any length!
Fashion is fun!

I am ashamed to admit it, but I totally forgot I saw you before at Josep-Maria. And yes I agree I love him for his admiring, yet always honest comments. I call him a “blogger’s dream”. LOL
Thank you for your comment, it is good to know there are still more capri lovers.
🙂 Good to know us capri lovers are not going to let fashion trends dictate. If we love something and enjoy wearing it, we’ll wear it. That is the good thing about being mature, we don’t have to do what we’re told 😉
We all copy from each other so that is no issue at all. In the end we all create our own unique looks which you have here also in spades! Good to know that you are happy with the belt!
Very happy indeed. Every week I am discovering a new variety.

Greetje, that’s a great, fresh look which I really like, it suits you so well!
I like your loose fitting jeans, they aren’t baggy and still show your slim figure.

The guy in the store told me not to take boyfriend jeans too wide, as that “would not fit my age”. But later he sold me those very tight blue skinnies which I find difficult to wear.
I think he just did not have the boyfriend jeans in my (right) size as they are not as wide as they could have been.
Glad you like it.
