This sequined T-shirt was displayed in the window of the Essentiel shop (Belgian brand). That shop is located right between my house and the centre of town. Whenever I go to town, which is often, I pass it. It is clearly there to test my willpower. I kid myself I was only taking a picture of this shirt to send to Lisa (The Sequinist) to drool over. Of course it was necessary to go inside and take a closer look at the shirt. You can fill in the rest. View Post
When I saw this red and white striped blouse on the blog of Yvonne (Funky Forty) I fell in love with it. You can see Yvonne in this outfit at the end of her post. I know, I shamelessly copied it. There are 7 reasons why this blouse is sooo me. I told her this and luckily she didn’t mind. Don’t we (bloggers) all want to inspire? Nevertheless, thank you Yvonne.
As I am still trying to show you a skirt/dress one week and trousers the other week, I had to get this outfit on camera quickly. The previous two posts were with trousers and I had another trouser outfit lined up. There was a need for a skirt post in between. View Post
Jill of Everything Just So asked me whether I would be interested in joining Adrienne and her for “How I Wear My Booties” on March 2. She saw my post with the blue sweater and liked it. Of course I agreed. But as I didn’t really like the blue and white striped skirt, I decided to do another post with skirt and booties. On Valentine’s Day Ron wanted to please me (….) and when I suggested we’d take photos, he agreed. Not his hobby although you might think otherwise. No, it is just my hobby. But it was Valentine’s Day 😆 . He knew a good spot with lots of graffiti art in Amsterdam, at the Spuistraat. Not really my cup of tea, but I am not the one with the artistic eye. He is. The weather was ideal for photography (dry and bright but not sunny). View Post
Skirts for a change. A difficult one (a long skirt) and an easy one (a pencil skirt). Attempting to keep the outfits modern, I combined these skirts with a leather jacket. This olive coloured one is softer near my face than a black leather jacket. You can wear it zipped right up as I did in this first photo or leave the zip half open. Looking at the photos again, in hindsight I don’t think this jacket is the best option for the skirts. View Post
Many times I have “guided” you through Amsterdam, but my own little town is just as pretty, only smaller. Today I am showing you the market in Haarlem as there are a lot of beautiful historic buildings around the market square. On Saturday there is an actual market where you can buy the usual things like vegetables, cheese (very Dutch) and loads of flowers (also very Dutch). I am going out on a limb here in showing you so many photos and only one outfit. If you disapprove, please let me know. View Post
