Right.. 2018.. first blogpost. Back to normal. I wore this blue cardigan jacket with the striped leggings when visiting Marianna. She is one of the members of the BVA friends group which you have seen many times. Marianna decided to move to the east of the country, which is a two hours drive. As we Dutch are used to everything and everybody being very nearby, a two hours drive means very far away. It is worse for her as she will have to drive the distance 5 times when the others are host of the day. Nice thing for her is that she has family and friends living near. View Post
Ron and I went to the Groninger Museum to see the exhibition of Maarten Baas. He is a very special artist/designer whom we love for his “Real Time” art work. More about that later. If you want to know more about Maarten Baas, other than the link in the previous sentence, click here. I wore my red dress by Sportmax, this time as a jacket on my skinny jeans. When I buy something, I never think whether I can use it in more than one way, which isn’t very economic. All the more fun to discover afterwards that this piece is just as nice as a dress (seen here) as it is as a jacket. View Post
Right, another shopping with friends post. This time with my ex colleagues, whom you have seen many times before (here, here, here, here.) We visited Claudia, who lives near the old and beautiful town of Zwolle. After coffee, cake and lunch, we drove to town for some serious shopping. Apparently I choose my friends on their eagerness to shop. Very few of my friends don’t like shopping. View Post
When you know you will have your coat on most of the day, you’d better put on a nice one. This kimono coat was another purchase in that little boutique in Paris where I bought the sequined top. It is wool, nice and warm but still elegant. Perfect for shopping in Eindhoven, which was our destination, chosen by my Shopping Saturday friends Anke and Sabine. The Dutch Design Week was on, so we could combine creativeness with shopping. View Post
One Sunday Sylvia, Anja and myself arranged to meet Misja Beijers, female 40+ photographer with a blog, showing many street style photos of women (and men) over 40. A really inspirational blog. Both Anja (Curly Traveller) and Sylvia (40+Style), had discovered this lady who is also living in our town Haarlem. As we all have quite a few things in common, a meet-up was organized by Sylvia. What should have been a beautiful sunny day, turned out to be a very humid, rainy day. Which ruins my hair completely. And you know how fussy I am about my hair….
Meeting Misja was fun (I will see her more often if possible) and she kindly took our pictures that day. A bad hair day is no reason to be a spoilsport, right? View Post
