Givenchy exhibition in The Hague

Hope sweaterShowing this top was way overdue. I bought it last May when I was at the 3040 Blogger meet in London. It is by Hope Fashion UK, a company which I love for its mission, its sustainability, its quality and the fact they provide nice clothes for women over 40. Read all about Hope here. The founder Nayna is a wonderful woman whom I met in person. She makes “wearable and stylish clothes in quality fabrics and fluid designs created for real body shapes and proportions”. And no, this is not a sponsored post. I bought the sweater and I am not getting paid to praise them. Anyway… I put this lovely sweater on while visiting the Givenchy exhibition in The Hague with my friend Marjolein. View Post

Max Mara jeans dress worn as a jacket

Max Mara jeans dressA week ago I took the Friday off and Ron and I headed to Amsterdam. I wore my Max Mara jeans dress but this time as a jacket (versatile piece). It is always a pleasure to be in Amsterdam and this time it was especially nice as we visited the jeweller. Yay. While walking through the city we both took pictures. Me for this post and Ron for the site of his new enterprise: showing tourists Amsterdam from the water and teaching them how to navigate his boat. Read all about it on www.amsterdamboatcompany.com (I will do a post on such a tour when it is warm enough…). View Post

Blue Kenzo jacket dress worn in Amsterdam

Blue Kenzo jacket dressFriend Misja asked me whether I wanted to model for a spring fashion shoot she had to do for a German magazine. Haha.. of course I wanted to. Vain as I am. She had to photograph 14 different women, all over 40, in spring clothes. With Amsterdam as the background because the title of the magazine article is: “What do women wear in ……” …..Amsterdam this time. Oh and no coats and no black clothes. Not such an easy task as spring was still very young two weeks ago. We chose my blue Kenzo jacket dress. Fortunately the sun shone lovely and away we went. View Post

Pink, black and white scarf in Haarlem

Pink, black and white scarf and a Marck&Co bagToday a simple outfit for a woman still wearing flat shoes/boots (me). The pink, black and white scarf is new to you. The bag you have seen before here. In reality the pink colour of the bag is much more like the pink in the scarf. I was having lunch that day with Misja, a female photographer who you have seen on my blog before. Misja asked me to take pictures of her while at work for her blog, and … could she take some pictures of me? Hah could she? Of course!! Free photos by a pro… what a fluke. And at the same time doing blogging work with a friend. Always so nice. View Post

White boho blouse

White Ibiza tunic (10 van 18)When you are in Spain, near Ibiza, you come across Ibiza type clothes. “And….”, as my neighbour said, as she saw me in this blouse, “….being on holiday you buy things that are less appealing when you are back home”. Clearly she was not a fan of my white boho blouse. Neither is my husband Ron. When I showed him my new treasure he just laughed. And I could see in his eyes what he was thinking…: “from which large window did you yank those curtains?”. Nevertheless he once again took these photos. Bless him. View Post
