Leopard print ankle boots… oh how I love them

Leopard print ankle bootsWhen Kitty suggested to go to the Stedelijk Gymnasium to do a photo shoot on a Saturday morning I needed to look it up on the map of Haarlem. Oh there!?! Right in the centre of the city. I had sent her a photo of the outfit with the leopard print ankle boots and asked whether it would match the surroundings. As you will see, it did.

The weather was sunny with cooler temperatures. A coat was necessary so the off-white Burberry trench coat, my second hand deal, takes the stage as well. View Post

Again, orange clothes. And my friend Marjolein

Orange clothesYes, I have been at it again. Not going on holiday to Spain with my BVA girlfriends left me sad and needy. (I know, it is pathetic and a very first world “problem”). After having worked the Monday when I was supposed to be on holiday, I decided against working that week, took the rest of the week off and arranged several dates with friends. This day I was with Marjolein and it was a day of orange clothes. View Post

Isabel Marant necklace, Anke and Sabine

Isabel Marant necklaceThere it is, my Isabel Marant necklace, present from Ron when we were in Maastricht. It is such an unusual thing. The cream leather strings can move up and down and by doing so, the golden part in the middle will sit lower or higher on your body. I fell in love with it. As the jeweller (Clio) gave details about the necklace, in my mind I could see the price going up and up. Turned out it was affordable. I was ready to purchase when Ron beat me to it. View Post

One holiday day with lots of friends

One holiday day with lots of friendsAs it happened I spent one holiday day with lots of friends, the last day. First there was lunch with Anja (blog Curly Traveller) and Misja (blog MisjaB). (You have seen both on my blog a lot of times.)

In the evening I went out to dinner with 3 friends: Marianne, Claudia and Jiske. Two other members of this group of friends were on holiday. All of these women are used to having their photograph taken, so that was all right. View Post

Red dress at an art exhibition

red dress SportmaxRon and I went to the Groninger Museum to see the exhibition of Maarten Baas. He is a very special artist/designer whom we love for his “Real Time” art work. More about that later. If you want to know more about Maarten Baas, other than the link in the previous sentence, click here. I wore my red dress by Sportmax, this time as a jacket on my skinny jeans. When I buy something, I never think whether I can use it in more than one way, which isn’t very economic. All the more fun to discover afterwards that this piece is just as nice as a dress (seen here) as it is as a jacket. View Post
