Isabel Marant necklace, Anke and Sabine

Isabel Marant necklaceThere it is, my Isabel Marant necklace, present from Ron when we were in Maastricht. It is such an unusual thing. The cream leather strings can move up and down and by doing so, the golden part in the middle will sit lower or higher on your body. I fell in love with it. As the jeweller (Clio) gave details about the necklace, in my mind I could see the price going up and up. Turned out it was affordable. I was ready to purchase when Ron beat me to it. View Post

One holiday day with lots of friends

One holiday day with lots of friendsAs it happened I spent one holiday day with lots of friends, the last day. First there was lunch with Anja (blog Curly Traveller) and Misja (blog MisjaB). (You have seen both on my blog a lot of times.)

In the evening I went out to dinner with 3 friends: Marianne, Claudia and Jiske. Two other members of this group of friends were on holiday. All of these women are used to having their photograph taken, so that was all right. View Post

Red dress at an art exhibition

red dress SportmaxRon and I went to the Groninger Museum to see the exhibition of Maarten Baas. He is a very special artist/designer whom we love for his “Real Time” art work. More about that later. If you want to know more about Maarten Baas, other than the link in the previous sentence, click here. I wore my red dress by Sportmax, this time as a jacket on my skinny jeans. When I buy something, I never think whether I can use it in more than one way, which isn’t very economic. All the more fun to discover afterwards that this piece is just as nice as a dress (seen here) as it is as a jacket. View Post

Shopping with friends in Zwolle

Shopping with friends in ZwolleRight, another shopping with friends post. This time with my ex colleagues, whom you have seen many times before (herehere, here, here.) We visited Claudia, who lives near the old and beautiful town of Zwolle. After coffee, cake and lunch, we drove to town for some serious shopping. Apparently I choose my friends on their eagerness to shop. Very few of my friends don’t like shopping. View Post

Givenchy exhibition in The Hague

Hope sweaterShowing this top was way overdue. I bought it last May when I was at the 3040 Blogger meet in London. It is by Hope Fashion UK, a company which I love for its mission, its sustainability, its quality and the fact they provide nice clothes for women over 40. Read all about Hope here. The founder Nayna is a wonderful woman whom I met in person. She makes “wearable and stylish clothes in quality fabrics and fluid designs created for real body shapes and proportions”. And no, this is not a sponsored post. I bought the sweater and I am not getting paid to praise them. Anyway… I put this lovely sweater on while visiting the Givenchy exhibition in The Hague with my friend Marjolein. View Post
