The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam is featuring another great artist, Matisse. My husband Ron thought the exhibition would be a nice background for my outfit photos. The idea appealed to me….would Matisse and Max Mara be a match?
Yes, that was my thought. Not “.. oh fantastic, I am going to see great paintings!!”. No……. none of that. You see, I am a philistine. Always willing to look at nice paintings but not knowing a single thing about them. So don’t expect to read any details about the paintings as I never take notes. View Post
It may get a bit boring. See…. I ran out of photos…. you therefore will have to do with these. This is pencil skirt styling part 2 (here is a link for those who missed my first attempt). Of course after the initial styling the rest is easy. Once you have the basics, in this case boots and skirt, the tops are easy. View Post
When I showed you the pictures of the IJhallen, I said I would give you a closer look at what I was wearing that day. Well, that was this black jacket (brand Reiss, present from husband Ron), a black top, my trusted skinny jeans by Denham, a gold necklace (present from Ron) and suede knee boots. But I prefer these suede pumps by Dune with this outfit. For me there is a right balance between casual and chic.
Now on to this post. Ron and I went to an Amsterdam department store called The Bijenkorf (Bee hive). It is probably the best one we have in The Netherlands. View Post
This is an in-between-post. Just to announce that the header of my blog will change this weekend.
I felt that a new blog look was necessary. As you can see on the right my photograph changed too and “About me” is now at the top of the column. I am now officially blond.
That will be all. Enough change I think.
See you in a couple of days?
OK, what’s with the brown face, you might ask??? Simple explanation: I had just been to a tanning parlor (I know Suzanne… bad, bad, bad. I cannot help it.) The first 24 hours after being on a tanning bed I look ridiculous. After that I look rather normal. Well… sort of. 🙄 .
As you know, styling skirts and dresses in a contemporary way is difficult for me. So I asked Anja (Curly Traveller), being my friend and part-time neighbour, to help me with some pencil skirt styling. Most of the above outfit was my own creation. Just couldn’t figure out what to wear for shoes or boots (always my problem). Anja asked “Do you have boots in the colour of that browny/cognacy colour which is in the scarf?” Sure enough I had them. Done. View Post
