The Haarlem Bloggers got together one last time this summer and I decided to wear my bright pink sweater. I bought it from South of the River and I love the impact of the colour. Yes, it leaps out at you. Fine by me.
Sylvia of 40PlusStyle has left for New York, Anja (Curly Traveller) is nearly on her way to Singapore which leaves Misja (MisjaB) and me to roam around Haarlem. Therefore Sunday last week, one last lunch/coffee meeting.
We paid a visit to the restaurant of Dolhuys, the museum of the mind. More information if you click the link. We met here before in 2016 when Misja photographed me in my purple silk jacket. It is close for the four of us and provides a beautiful background. View Post
The Haarlem Bloggers (THB) got together again. Misja wanted to take photos and we all agreed. I decided to wear my wide cream skirt by Marella again. Wel.. again. that is a bit much as I only wore it on the blog twice: when I bought it in Turin (almost last picture of this post) and later, after I styled it with the fun leopard sweater and the bright blue silk top.
I really wanted to style it with a tight top, but because of the fashion these last years, I only have wide tops. I remembered a trick and tied this transparent blouse to create the waist. View Post
It doesn’t happen often, but we were able to arrange a mini bloggers get-together in Haarlem. Misja (MisjaB), Anja (Curly Traveller) and I live in Haarlem and Sylvia (40+Style), although Singapore based, almost always spends some time in Haarlem in the summer. We all know each other and we all have a blog (well.. Sylvia’s blog is a website to be honest). It is not all about fashion and outfits in our conversations but as you can understand the subject does come up. View Post
It might be easy for some people to use four colours in one outfit, but not for me. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I have pulled it off. Three colours in one outfit was the best I could do up till now and no, a multicoloured piece of clothing doesn’t count. The above photo is taken in my friend Anja’s (Curly Traveller) garden in front of her shed, with Sylvia of 40+Style standing next to me. View Post
As I am always on the lookout for bright coloured clothes, I immediately spotted this orange sweater. Jumping from the rack, screaming: take me home! It combines very well with my green legging with side stripe. Only the legging isn’t that warm while the sweater is. There are fashionable people who walk around bare legged in winter to go to a party in lovely strappy sandals (you know who you are). Or who wear boots in summer with a tanktop. I cannot do that. My outfits are either for winter, for summer or for in-between. Never a mix. Which is why this orange sweater is better on jeans with boots. I might try thick tights underneath the striped legging; it was rather an awesome combination. View Post
