After a few more ladylike posts, I am “treating” you to this casual outfit. My husband Ron said when he saw it: “You are dressed like Charlie Chaplin”. Thank you darling. Fortunately he added: “But I like it”. I know this outfit will not appeal to everyone (anyone?). You don’t have to say you like it in your comments. I know a lot of you will not and that is OK. You can say that as well. I won’t be offended. The outfit came about when I had bought the extremely comfortable shoes. I suddenly remembered a Street Style photo I took of a woman which I thought looked different and very good. I will show you. View Post
These red cowboy boots never get the attention from me they deserve. They were a present from my husband but I was too impatient when buying them. I wanted them less high. Perhaps if they had been mid calf, I might wear them more. They are pretty comfortable and the brand is Sendra (worn in winter here). The red is perfect to combine with my new tassle necklace, made by Suzanne Carillo. (If you like it, you can order one through her blog.) View Post
When I showed you the pictures of the IJhallen, I said I would give you a closer look at what I was wearing that day. Well, that was this black jacket (brand Reiss, present from husband Ron), a black top, my trusted skinny jeans by Denham, a gold necklace (present from Ron) and suede knee boots. But I prefer these suede pumps by Dune with this outfit. For me there is a right balance between casual and chic.
Now on to this post. Ron and I went to an Amsterdam department store called The Bijenkorf (Bee hive). It is probably the best one we have in The Netherlands. View Post
We totally forgot how much fun it is, shopping in Amsterdam Utrechtsestraat. We imagined to “do” the street in no time. After all what is one street? “We” in this case are my friends and colleagues Anke, Sabine and myself. We did not make it to all the shops. There were so many places of interest. View Post
