This jeans dress is by Sportmax and I bought it at full price (ouch). I fell in love with it even though jeans blue near my face is on the negative side of my “colour card”. So far it promises to be worth every penny. I will show you in this post two ways how I styled it, but there are more possibilities (for another post). The difference in style is achieved purely by changing the accessories: shoes, belt, bag and necklace. View Post
Another little piece of my beloved city: Amsterdam Maritime Museum. For the Dutch: Scheepvaartmuseum (don’t even try to pronounce it when you are not Dutch). My husband Ron was kind enough to take photos again of my new outfit, my variation on a jumpsuit. Very comfortable, like PJ’s. Because it is not one piece but a top and trousers, it is easier to make it suit my bodyshape. Top and trousers are the same pattern, only contrast. In this post you will first see “outfit”, further down “ship” and “museum”. View Post
Right ladies and gentlemen …a photo session with my husband (Ron)… what a treat. Normally Ron just clicks a couple of shots (5 or 6) and is bored to death with it. “Is it alright now? Is it done?” and off he goes. This time he was really interested, suggested a nice environment and took loads of pictures. Even accepted my help when we did a couple of shots not on automatic. It would be very nice if we could continue this. Subject of this shot was an eye blouse worn on skinny jeans. Location: Landgoed (Estate) Beeckestijn, a beautiful estate where your dog can run free, believe it or not. View Post
This Kenzo jacket I bought in Paris, courtesy of my husband. (He gets mentioned quite a lot, doesn’t he? Let me know if it starts to irritate you. LOL)
Together with the jacket came the Kenzo top, which you recently saw in my post about a yellow summer jacket.
The jacket is not an easy shape for me as it is not fitted. Some of you might remember the struggle I had with my grey boyfriend jacket (part 1, part 2 and part 3). Heather Fonseca of The Style Confessions solved that problem for me. She visualized her advice by fabulous sketches how to wear my grey boyfriend jacket.
So after such struggle you’d think I would be warned and stay away from loose jackets. Not me.
Here are my last combinations with my grey boyfriend jacket. I think these combinations are the nicest. Although… perhaps I can make it even more interesting with my new black modern shoes…..
As Nanne suggested: I am scrunching up the arms of the jacket to make it even more casual.
Or with black shoes and my favourite yellow???? No, I think the shoes are not nice with this jacket. And the bag is too sophisticated. But I do like the photo below on the right with my beloved cream booties.
It has been a difficult jacket….
