This outfit is for Daniela (The Pretty Cute). Because she started following me for my ladylike dresses and the elegant styling of a pencil skirt. So no skinnies today but a (rather short) pencil skirt. View Post
Before summer is over you had to see this outfit. The cardigan by Max Mara is of course one of the items I bought at the Max Mara outlet in Turin. The bag as well. The top is by Zara, trousers are old; shoes by Michel Vivien, a Paris shoemaker (seen before here and here). The shoes were terribly expensive (fortunately a gift from husband Ron) but you can remove the flap leaving only straps, so you get two different pairs of shoes for the price of one (any excuse will do). Well fooks…. here we are again. Me and the dog. And the weeds. It is getting embarrasing.
In my defense, I have been doing a lot of overtime each day for the past 3 or 4 weeks, even on my day off.
Doing the weeds by hand, proved to be rather a task and I have given in to a weed killer. But… that is not as easy as you might think. It has to be the right weather: not too sunny or too hot, no wind and… no rain to be expected for 24 hours. I mean, this is The Netherlands for Pete’s sake. No such weather so far. View Post
Because I have very small hips and a tiny bum, boyfriend jeans tend to look good on me. Dark blue jeans for winter and this white one for summer. I can combine those boyfriend jeans with all kinds of jackets as in this article. And another option is this vintage Thierry Mugler top which was a present from my friend Marianne.
I get lots of presents from many people. So nice. View Post
In my first post of this little white dress, I showed you the dress 1) sleeveless and 2) with a green cardigan.
Because I will not wear sleeveless tops or dresses anymore, you will only find cardigans and a jacket with the dress in this article.
I find it a neglect in us, human beings, that we are not as happy with some things as we are sad for not having them. Does that make sense to you? Let me explain.
I never, ever, was happy with my smooth skin when I was younger. Having it, was just a fact of life.
NOT having a smooth skin anymore does bother me. Not so much that it makes me unhappy but I am very aware of it. Fortunately I am not alone, everybody gets wrinkles. So let’s smile and make the most of what we do have.
