Oh I paid deerly for this shoot. In lots of ways. One, because these black IRO boots are too high for a person with a bad knee. Even for 15 minutes, which is how long the photo shoot lasted. Two, because it was very, very cold. And three, because I had sworn not to buy anything anymore and failed miserably. View Post
Last week Ron wanted to shoot two outfits in one afternoon “so he wouldn’t have to go the following week”. Because, contrary to what you probably think, Ron doesn’t really like taking my pictures. He only does it out of love for me. Oohhh this is getting soppy.
Anyway, that is why I had to think fast. I bearly had the time to come up with one outfit, let alone two. Lightbulb moment. The Diane von Fürstenberg jacket! View Post
It never rains but it pours… Well, for my bank account the meaning of this saying is true (bad things happening). As for red jackets this was a good thing. Only one week after I bought my long red jacket, I found this cute red leather jacket. I weighed things up (that was a negative), I considered the options of this shorter jacket (that had more positive sides) and I asked my colleagues for their opinion. They tried not to influence me but did admit it looked good on me. When the shop assistant added the scarf, the four of us went: “ohh, that’s nice!” and it was a done deal. I am on bread and water for two months. But looking darned good haha. View Post
Ron and I went to the Jopenkerk in Haarlem which is a grand café / restaurant located in, what used to be, a church. At this place they also brew a beer called Jopen, thus restoring the age-old Haarlem brewing tradition. It makes a lovely background for pictures. Our goal for the morning was to learn how to take pictures indoors where it is dark. Seizing the opportunity to shoot outfit photos of my red pencil skirt for today’s post. View Post
Hurray for skinnies. I love them, could wear them every day. They make my legs long and they feel like pjs. This particular pair of skinnies is by Max Mara (again…. Dan and me… we just love this brand).
Oh I have to tell you this before I go on. The sleeves of the purple Max Mara coat which you saw in my previous post were too long. The shop altered them for me. At the top of the sleeves, not at the bottom because then you would lose a button. They did it for free. Now that is Service. View Post
